I have just spoken to a brain surgeon by the name of Sonny (or is it Sunny?) who works as a Vodacom call agent. I guess the thrill of being able to lie to people on a daily basis holds more appeal than being up to your elbows in frontal lobes but I digress...
He told me that the Version 3.0 of the Apple iPhone software does NOT support either MMS or tethering, but that the next verison will. I told him that, with respect, he was talking crap. He then countered with 'We've received offical notice from Apple'.
Faced with the prospect of dealing with bare faced lies I mentioned that he might want to get internet access because I'd be posting this on this forum and hung up.
The reason behind this is that MOST (not all) call centre agents actually have no clue what is going on, and they rely on a knowledge base of information they can search on for your problem. If they cant find it there, it doesn't exist.
