Any specific reason for this (don't bother if it is too technical or lengthy I can wait for the once-click JB if I have to) ?

Doesn't make sense to me, as your'e building a custom ipsw, that will just be restored in recovery mode - why would it require a jailbroken os on the phone? Does it have anything to do with Apple no longer authorising certain restores?

I know the devteam blog says it has to be this way, I just don't understand why...

TBH, I am not on the Dev-Team so I know as much as they tell the public!

if anyone needs me to upload 3.1 for 3G(s) factory unlocked or ultrasnow unlocked phones let me know and i will upload, otherwise there's no point.

pcstogo will need it with his usa iphone with the loads of issues... lol, i'm assuming you built the custom firmware without the baseband update right?

confirmed, out of box 3.1 iphones currently unsupported, and potentially non unlockable for good

That option was greyed out? All that is different between the two is that i selected activate on the one, and deselected activate on the other.

The iClarified guide said nothing about the baseband step?

I was thinking of importing some new 16GB and 32GB iPhones 3GS's to sell. I would Jailbreak them and Unlock them of course. And make sure I dont buy 3.1 versions :)
What would you say a fair price would be to sell them at? Remember they are NEW!

I was thinking:
R7000 16GB iPhone 3GS
R8000 32GB iPhone 3GS

What do you guys think?
