The iPhone Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

I want to know is there any reliable Bluetooth application that will make it possible to transfer files over bluetooth using my iPhone. I have downloaded iBluetooth (Cydia) but whenever i send a file iBluetooth just exist to the home screen. and I am right back to where I was. Is there a repository that I need to install before this bloody thing works or is it just crap and doesn't work at all?

why do you want to send/receive files? no such app really
 
has anyone noticed their phone to be a bit faster with the new FW? I have and rather enjoying it!

YES I have noticed this. I am very happy also just found out that all my hackulo.us apps is still on my phone so all I had to do was install them with installuos and there you go 145+ apps all back on my phone nothing lost but gained so much:D

As for the iBluetooth yes very usefull if I can get it too work. easy file transfer between my iPhone and other mobile devices. Pity the Apple dev tem has not given this any consideration
 
So are people seeing a definite memory and speed advantage going to 3.1.2? Of course, this is only for 3G users not you @#$%@#$%!@#$% 3GS users

+1 don't you just hate those #^{*!€{ 3GS users. Yes I have monitored my memory usage and battery. Great imrpovement and my phone is significantly faster. Now if only the developers can give us Bluetooth file transfer then we a GO :p
 
Ah ok, feeling more and more compelled to go the 3.1.2 route. I've now trained my phone to that perfect state of being, with all apps and mobile substrate addons (which is a number I tell you), I am sitting at roughly 30-35meg in idle, with some usage it drops to about 24meg

Comon you guys, you imagining it.:).. my phone feels faster and more responsive after every upgrade and after a while - once you have loaded all the crap available from cydia , the performance is the same as previously (which is acceptable to me) Except of course those $%^$@#%@#% 3GS users - bunch of :sick:
 
hahaha. I have installed the same amount of apps installed and it does feel nippier! I wouldnt say i have an more mem available as when i have mail or safari open it drops to about 9MB but battery is the same.

Roland, i dnt want to hear about your 3GS :)

That's a little - what do you get when you perform a respring and free memory in SB? I just got 56MB.....

The most I get is about 40mb, but have to say, I am currently running lockinfo, attachmentsaver, downloader, autosilent and a lot of other stuff. With email I use elert and with sms I use irealquick and tlert. Don't actually use any themes except a wallpaper
 
PwnageTool is almost ready for 3.1.2 - I think Im going to restore and use their tool. I can't access root with geohot's blackra1n with some apps...

i posted a possible fix for that a day or 2 ago. Did you try it?
