Buy a new one - once dirt is trapped, it's never the same again, even if you manage to lift a corner of the shield, get all the dirt out, and stick it down again. There is always some stretching of the shield.

I just bought it !!! *cries*

My invisibleshield has dirt under one of the corners how do I clean it?

Not much you can do to clean it unfortunately. If you registered it with Zagg you can get replacements for free (maybe only the 1st one - I can't recall) all you pay is the shipping. I got a free replacement from them when I took the shield off when my phone went back to Vodacom for a repair. Once you get your free replacement you just send the other back to them to keep up the lifetime warranty,

I don't think I can get another one because of dirt?

Just check the Zagg support site or give their support line a call (they were great when I called them) - I used Skype to call their 800 toll free no. (you can call 800 no's free with Skypeout) they are in Salt Lake City, Utah so after 5pm or so our time is 8am their time, and ask them about it.

OK, so my hard drive crashed which means that the most up to date set of data is on my iPhone. Unfortunately Apple in their infinite wisdom have decided that you can only sync in one direction.

Have managed to recover some files from the hard drive but nothing that will enable me to get iTunes the same as before.

How to I sync my Contacts, Photo's, Music, Apps back to PC ?

Have a fresh install of XP Pro, but I know my iPhone will be wiped if I sync it with an empty iTunes.

on the new blank iTunes, log in your iTunes account, then store -> authorize computer

connect your iPhone and cancel sync on the phone immediately

in iTunes, right click the phone and transfer purchases

Buy "copytunes" (google it), that will download all the music/videos/podcasts off the phone back into iTunes, including ratings and playcounts

contacts and calendars sync bidirectional, you can just enable those again

when all's done, sync the phone, you can say yes to erase and sync, it only refers to media (music, movies, podcasts) and apps, which you now have in iTunes, contacts notes and calender will sync from the phone to the PC

Hi guys just did a jailbreak on 3Gs yesterday using black ra1n it worked perfect and within seconds, but the problem came when I switched off the phone and on again it goes into DFU mode and I have to make it rain again, I read on iclarified that this is the case with the itouch 2gen, does it also affect the 3Gs or am i doing something wrong. I have access to a mac do you think I should go the PWNAGE route. Also I am assuming because the phone is Vodacom stock it wouldnt be neccacary to unlock even with blackrain and in PWNAGE i can do the baseband update.

All the Vodacom stock are unlocked so you have no need to use an unlock. Regarding Jailbreak, Apple recently updated the ROM in the newer 3GS, check this URL for a bit more info http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=5560 your's could be one of the newer ROMs I am guessing. I'm not sure that the Pwnage route would help you, I'm not overly familiar with that, you could check the more recent postings on the Dev-team site to maybe find out : http://blog.iphone-dev.org/
