Either way, its not loud and something is wrong.
Try clear out your headphone jack. sometimes paper or chewing gum foil or something like that gets in the headphone port and confuses the phone a bit.

Uhh dude..
Something is wrong either way because I can harldy hear my phone.. thats why I went looking for a fault..
I played a movie trailer last week and thought it was just a bad copy coz I couldn't hear it..
Played a song last night, a song played many times before and I couldnt hear it anywhere near as loud as normal, tunred the phone to hear the sound coming out the bottom.. and nothing coming out the one..
You say one is a mic.. the post below says the mic is the left but I got sound coming out the left and nothing out the right..
Either way, its not loud and something is wrong.
Actually the left is the speaker and the right is the mic. Like the guys said - try plug your headphones in and out again... But then again, that only really works if you getting no sound at all...
Anyone have a 3GS with old bootrom running 3.1.3 with SpiritJB that upgraded to custom iOS4 and now have a Jailbroken 3GS running iOS4?
Oh then they've changed it on the iPhone 4 cos my speaker is on the right![]()
Gave it a re-boot through iTunes..
Sound is back to full level..
I also never knew it came out of only on speaker.. either way thuugh, my sound level was like stuck at a minimum.. its fixed now..
how did you get the iphone?
are they not network locked?
Nope, using the rear USB via an extension. Always worked before.
Is it OK if I take out the sim card and have the phone in flight mode for the sync ?
fxit did 4.0.1 improve reception at all? some 3GS users says it did, still getting dropped calls?
Ahh ok, some of the Apple haters here think dropped calls are endemic.haven't experienced any dropped calls yet, not that i was experiencing a load before either. but you can still replicate the "antennagate" problem obviously as apple demonstrated.
the network bars just look funny and ugly (imo) now![]()
