The iPhone Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

idelivery intercepts comms between the os and the baseband of the iPhone, that's how it modifies outgoing texts to enable delivery requests... You'll notice directly after installing your phones network connection goes crazy for a bit, very possibly part of your culprit, I do suspect hardware though, unfortunately Vodacom isn't easy to convince to do a swap out, at&t or apple stores over here are :) I'm considering having my iPhone 4 swapped because the manometer is slightly miss calibrated, that way I get a shiny new one 3 months in... And there's rumors apple have slightly improved the build quality, which I'd appreciate :)

Another question for those in the know. I've setup an iTunes US account but how do I pay for the apps purchased on the US account?

Im sure this has been asked before, so my apologies if it has; but does anyone know how much it costs to get a micro sim? Tried cutting mine down last night and it didn't work so well:) Also, is it possible to have a micro and a normal sim so that I can use my ****ty phone for when I go out and get bizzled?

Well it should be cheap. I don't know. I will say though, that my Nokia 1208 supports a micro sim! That's right, you just have to position it correctly. The little flap holds it securely in position. Brilliant, I love this phone too much!

Microsim costs R135 from MTN. No idea about vodacom.

Best way to have an interchangeable sim is this -> http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/2795...m_12_15mm_to_a_standard_size_sim_15_25mm.html

I got my MicroSIM free of charge from Vodacom yesterday when I got my iPhone 4 32Gb.

Now if anyone is interested I have an iPhone 3G 8Gb for sale, immaculate condition! I need cash so make me an offer, preference goes to Durban buyers 1st :)

I was on Cell C prepaid and since they cannot offer 3G for prepaid customers,i ported to vodacom. First they port you to a normal sim ,and then do a sim swap to a micro sim. Both porting and Sim Swapping was absolutely free and now i get 3G speeds on my iphone when not on my WIFI connection. Just go to vodacom and tell them u need a micro sim.. Not sure if MTN is free though.
