So, 1-1.

Tevez should have started. So should Carrick. Giggs and Scholes did not contribute much. Scholes more than Giggs.

Anderson had some nice through balls.

We should always play 4-4-2 ALWAYS!!

In the end, a decent result. Away goal makes all the difference.

totally agree ( for once :p )

Was nani in the starting line-up? I saw him towards the end because I was forced to watch in a club.

He was absolutely awesome against Arsenal and it really was the best I have seen him play this season. In fact it was the best all-round team performance I have seen this season.

United is always strongest when we play an attacking game. I believe we can rely on our defence on the counter (mostly), but we realy create the most opportunities when our midfield is on the ball and taking the ball rightinto the last 3rd. When they do this, the oposition midfeld fall back into defence and it limits the oportunity for a counter. Lately I havent seen this, and I certainly didnt see it in the City derby. We saw it clearly in the Arsenal match and see what happened! Passes were strung together from defence all the way to offence and it was an awesome sight to see. I watched the game with Chelsea supporters and even they were on the edge of their seats. They all commented that it was one of the best footbaling displays they had ever seen.

anchester United winger Nani has revealed that a stern word from manager Sir Alex Ferguson was enough to persuade him not to repeat his on-field juggling antics.

The 21-year-old provoked the fury of several Arsenal players, as well as Ferguson, when he indulged in some `kick-ups' towards the end of last weekend's 4-0 FA Cup thrashing of the Gunners at Old Trafford.

Nani insists he was not being disrespectful and was merely trying to entertain - but has also vowed not to repeat the trick.

'In Portugal I have done this many times but it is only because it is an entertaining spectacle and not because I disrespect my rivals,' he told the Daily Mail.

'I am a professional and am always very respectful with all the opposing players, but I do appreciate now that it may have looked bad.

'After the match Ferguson spoke to me and demanded that I do not repeat it in order to avoid problems.

'Obviously, I agreed. I always follow the orders of my coach and am not interested in causing controversy.'

The Portugal winger added: 'Gilberto Silva of Arsenal spoke to me and was clear about what their players thought about it. He was very critical of what I did and accused me of provoking Arsenal. But he never threatened me.

'On the field I am different from most players. My celebrations of goals with a somersault is an example. This is my character as a footballer.'

From soccernet.

It was still great though :)

5-1.

Could easily have been 10 if we had tried hard.

Ronaldo and Rooney were great obviously. Thought Nani showed more promise again. His crossing is improving and so are his corners. Wasn't overly impressed with Saha, despite the goal.

Fletcher, for me , did not contribute much at all again. Thought everyone else was pretty solid.

11-1 on aggregate against the Toon. I bet they are happy they don't have to play us again :)

we coulda had 10. was glad to see ronaldo and rooney get on the scoresheet again, as well as saha. saha looked much sharper today than i've seen him the last few times he played. just 3 points now, which i'm sure we'll get when arsenal visit old trafford.

fletcher was awesome

got stuck in, you dont always have to contribute goal scoring stuff, just being a solid midfielder is a good thing as well

personally though i would like to see fletcher dropped for anderson

berbatov aint that great if you ask me, better than average but not united's style i dont think

Hehe. This is where we differ. Anderson and Fletcher are my least favourite players by far. Nani has showed some real promise of late, but I have not seen the same from the aforementioned.

I have renewed hope in Nani and Anderson as well.

I'd agree with that lineup, then on the bench- Saha, Scholes, Giggs and Hargreaves. Not bad if you ask me.

You guys blow hot & cold with who you support in your own team every week. :D

u see the problem is we have so many to choose from because united spend alot of money on good players even if they sit on the bench :)

your club has its 11 stars and nothing more :) so you dont have a choice hehe

I must say I am yet to see Berbatov have a bad game . When are we going to buy him?
p1ss off...leave the much maligned spurs fan to enjoy the moment without flashing your US dollars around :p
