The Middle East Conflict Thread

Read it, don't read it - it makes an undeniable argument.

Hi, this is something I was thinking from the first time I heard those terms, what is a war on terror and how does work anyway? It was just the Bush regime's mumbo jumbo.

I would also like to add a practical example to this. I was just watching CNN and saw i kid on there, he was blooded and bandaged up, but he hoped to his feet and was like, Oh yeah i was hit by a bomb look at my brother he was hit too. What hit me was how blasé he was, it was obviously translated but it really seemed like this guy was not traumatized by being blasted with a bomb.
he was about 11 or 12 his younger brother was rather shocked though he looked about 4 years old.

My point is they are so used to this, and If I was subjected to my house being demolished, My mom being harassed by occupying soldiers, and my fathers and uncles being bombed up on shot at reguluar basis - if I grew up like that I can understand dying for my people,

I can understand why hey would want to fight back, I fail to see how that would be terrorism BTW .

So they must spend their life in bunkers or pay a fortune for a missile/rocket/mortar countermeasure, and Hamarse can go unpunished

Keep up the good work Israel - sooner or later the terrorist Hamarse will learn that their ideology is getting them into deep ****.

Hamas are not actually terrorists my friend, you are misinformed. They are an elected government, these elections wher overseen by U.N and other international organisations BTW.

Yes the UN did oversee the elections, which confirm that the people elected a terrorist organisation into politics - terrible combination of religion, terrorists and politics.

So these people, that danced in the street when innocent people were killed in the WTC, have to suffer the consequences of electing an extremist terrorist organisation.

The aim of the operation is not the elimination of Hamas but to stop the rocket attacks.

No my friend, this fight is was and never will be about rockets, and I do feel to Lol at this moment.

This fight is about land, and the state of Israel, Jews do believe that this land is promised to them by God, and after a chunk of Palestine was given to them by the British colonialists in 1948, the believe they have arrived in Zion!

They want Palestine to be a non-entity thats their only goal, they use smear-campaigns occupation and violence because they hate their neighbours thats the real truth.

I encourage everyone to do some research on the origins of Israel/Palestine situation and how Isreal came to be, before having opinions.

This "action" has stopped Hezbooola for some time now, so I guess Israel will be aiming for the same in this case.

So what your saying is that the 600 odd lives lost were okay because they protected the Israelies from the orckets for a temporary period.

Surely somone sees that this is illogical.

If we watch this Hamarse Mickey Mouse, we'll note that it is in fact them that are guilty of your accusations hatred above.

The costumed character Farfur, with his squeaky voice, round ears and cheeks, white gloves & tuxedo with tails, bears more than a passing resemblance to Walt Disney's iconic cartoon character. 'Farfur' means 'butterfly' in Arabic.

“Using a character based on an appealing, world famous and beloved icon like Mickey Mouse to teach Islamic supremacy and resistance as Islamic duty is a powerful and effective way to indoctrinate children,” say Marcus and Crook.

“We are setting with you the cornerstone for world leadership under Islamic leadership. Isn’t it so, Saraa’?” Farfur said to his co-host, in an episode that aired April 16th, 2007.

“Yes, our beloved children,” replied Saraa’, a young girl.
Only the really sick bastards would condone this.

@Frankie
From the highly respected president elect Barak Obama:

"After Jan. 20 I'm going to have plenty to say about the issue, and I am not backing away at all from what I said during the campaign, that starting at the beginning of our administration, we are going to be engaged effectively and consistently in trying to resolve the conflict in the Middle East," he said. "That's something I am committed to."

Are you suggesting he'll retract his previous statement?

Even Israeli President Shimon Peres, who typically sides with his fellow socialists from Europe, scolded the visitors for for playing a "double game with Israel."

"Not one of you would sit with your arms crossed in the face of missiles being fired at your country," Peres told the Europeans.

1) I would like to see evidence that "these people" danced in the street.

2) Id like for you to point out the difference between the IDF and Hamas. This is a question to you Frankie, what in your mind makes them diferent.

3) I also doubt you understand the history of what the U.S has done to middle eastern states and the people of those states in our recent history, if you knew what they did to "these people" you would probably understand why pockets of people would celebrate such an attack.

4) What is the difference in the way U.S citizens celebrate the flattening of entire country, and the emotional and psychical well being of an entire nation i.e Iraq.

Ample bodied folk screaming "Support the troops!" or the fact that they voted in Bush again! while eating doughnuts. The U.S government is the most overt and ruthless terrorist organisation.

Obama breaks silence on Gaza, voices concern
WASHINGTON, Jan 6 (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Barack Obama, breaking his silence about the Gaza war, expressed deep concern on Tuesday about civilian deaths in Gaza and in Israel and vowed to push for Middle East peace when he takes power.

Speaking after Israeli tank shells killed at least 40 Palestinians at a U.N. school where civilians had taken shelter, Obama said "the loss of civilian life in Gaza and in Israel is a source of deep concern for me."

Obama otherwise said he would adhere to his principle that only U.S. President George W. Bush would speak for American foreign policy at this time, but said he would have plenty more to say after his Jan. 20 inauguration.

He expressed deep concern about the conflict but made no mention of a "durable, sustainable and not time-limited" ceasefire sought by the Bush administration.

Nonetheless, he gave his most extensive comments about the Gaza conflict, responding to criticism from some commentators in the region that he had been too quiet about a top foreign policy challenge that will greet him as soon as he walks into the White House.

Obama was accused by critics both of siding with Israel with his silence or of failing to stand with the Jewish state as it seeks to repel rocket attacks from the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Speaking to reporters, Obama pledged to work for a resolution to the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, an issue that has bedeviled several American presidents.

"After Jan. 20 I'm going to have plenty to say about the issue, and I am not backing away at all from what I said during the campaign, that starting at the beginning of our administration, we are going to be engaged effectively and consistently in trying to resolve the conflict in the Middle East," he said. "That's something I am committed to."

Until then, he said, his job is to monitor the situation, and his aides are keeping him constantly up to date on developments.

All action against terrorists like Hamarse and Hezbooola are a honourable.

Yes we can behave like barbaric pigs and just blame it on America - can India blame the recent Mumbai terrorist attacks on America as well?

You got links to that?

Ample bodied folk screaming "Support the troops!" or the fact that they voted in Bush again! while eating doughnuts. The U.S government is the most overt and ruthless terrorist organisation.

See inserts above.

Whats the difference between that show and FOX News and CNN,

What you must understand is that that article was translated to English and it is from a western point of view so it is slightly biased.

You are missing the point though, this is what years of U.S and Israeli oppression has done to the nation that such extreme views are taken, iys similar to a situation where you treat people badly they start to behave badly.

Look at any poor getho in the world, where people are poor and there is a low level of education. Crime is high and living conditions are low, they behave in ways where is they grew up better they would find their behavior appalling.

Case and point.

OK then, as the elected government that is ordering rockets to be fired into Israel they must accept that this is a declaration of war on israel. The obvious result is that israel retaliates and attacks palestine until it is destroyed. Israel is under no obligation to spare civilians as it was them who elected the government that attacked israel.

When Japan attacked the US in WW2 the result was that the US retaliated until Japan was destroyed. Thats the way it works.

So can India blame the recent Mumbai terrorist attacks, by extremist Islamists, on America?

And it appears that you have no problem with the hate propagated by Hamarse' own Mickey Mouse.

Obama looks like he's got his head screwed on.

“If somebody was sending rockets into my house, where my two daughters sleep at night, I’m going to do everything in my power to stop that,” he told reporters in Sderot, a small city on the edge of Gaza that has been hit repeatedly by rocket fire. “And I would expect Israelis to do the same thing.”

LOL. He probably said that to get the red necks to vote for him. Idiots.

Israel has only ****ed themselves. They are only making Hamas stronger as those who lost their love ones will surely be joining hamas(or any organisation fighting against the IDF)
With all their military power and all the lives they are taking they are only succeeding in making the Palestinians stronger. They cant beat Hamas and they know it.
