Kindly show me any link to CNN which in any way refutes anything I have said in this thread, which I did NOT address.
A few posts back you were complaining about CNN etc being pro israel.
Yes, you think Israel should ignore International Law and should admit that it is a rogue state.
I think israel has the right defend itself against terrorists.
Where did they support sides? I would like to see links for this please. And as for the rocket fire, that started after 30 years of occupation with not a single legitimate and viable offer from Israel which could lead to a state for the palestinians. Occupation came first, violent response second, mkay?
Im not talking about military support but who they wanted to win the war. Which was obviously for the arab states. If they had supported israel the region wouldnt be in the current mess. Things have only gotten worse for the palestinians since they have been firing rockets and using suicide bombers. Why do you think there was a blockade in the first place.
Again, shall I paste another mountain of links incase you think this one is biased?
Will I also have to provide a mountain of links proving that Iraq had been under 15 years of crippling sanctions and was never able to rebuild its army in any meaningful way since the first Gulf War?
Sanctions hurt iraq but the occassional bombings did no significant damage to their military capability. And besides, even if there were no sanctions they still stood no chance against the US.
I am criticising your logic for justifying the bombing of the Israeli tunnel. I applied your logic to a different situation, and now you object.
As I said before, if you saw someone breaking into your house, would you wait for him to break in and attack you or would you do something before he got in? There was no legitimate reason for hamas to be digging tunnels anywhere near the border.
Thankyou, you just ignored the two links that I pasted (as I expected). You've ignored the google page that I posted to, with thousands of links explaining the problems with trade deficits in general.
Those links detail stuff which COULD happen. And it is blatantly obvious that the US is not bankrupt. As I keep saying RECESSION RECESSION RECESSION. Countries recover from them.
No, what is common is that certain people such as yourself are engaging in attempts at point scoring rather than addressing the issue openly and honestly. You are being disingenuous and people are quite rightly upset with such behaviour.
What are you talking about, I've given my view on every issue discussed. As usual, just more insults and accusations because I won't agree with you.
Actually, there are many economic indicators which are much worse today than they ever were during the great depression. It didn't just occur overnight.
Actually in 1933 the unemployment rate was about 25% while it is only 7% now. As the unemployment rate is a major indicator of how well an economy is doing, you are clearly wrong.
Just out of curiosity, how much do you think the US stock markets have lost in the last year (since their nadir)?
I think a few trillion. Large losses are common throughout the world today caused by the global recession. As I said before it will recover. Government around the world are introducing stimulus packages to do just that. It will take a few years but there is no need to panic.
