So if a robber breaks into my house and tries to hold me hostage with a butter knife, its perfectly 'ok' for me to kill him? pls thats extremist and if i remember correctly this has been discussed already in a thread within the last yr if i recall of an incident where a would be thief was killed.

The 'hero' as you guys see it is gonna be going to jail soon.. maybe you guys should send him flowers.

actually... it IS OK to kill him. It is called the use of appropriate force in the face of life-threatening danger.

a knife to neck... butter knife or not... can be considered life-threatening danger.

but this is all moot. Hamas have been using rockets and bombs... those are not butter knives! The use of a military response is fully justified.

Israel is working very hard ATM. They are busy taking out the stumble block to peace (Hamas).

it's a bad analogy tho, it's like having a knife held to your neck and killing everyone in the room becoz they happened to be where the terrorist was :)

that is assuming terrorists don't fire rockets from pre-schools or hospitals

I think i should show you some arabs that live in my area (ladium) that ride past my house...

They really don't care for anyone around them even the arabs...

you do realise in the place of arabs you could put the word "indians" or "christians" and that you would be generalising? someone being arab doesn't determine if they're good or bad, it just means they're arab

Im really disgusted by the things people are saying on these forums and really think that someone should do something about it.

Nowhere in this topic does anyone attack jews as a whole but more the state of Israel and their policies whereas on the other side its just racist slurs and a stereotype that would only be stuck in the narrow mind of all you idiots.

Its people like you that made apharteid happen in this country and why we still have some racism issues, you live in the most progressive constitution in the world and if you claim to love South Africa and what we stand for then you are a hypocrite and a moron, if you dont then get the F### out.

But there is a basis in law to slap all members in the room with the same 'punishment' even though only one had the butter knife.

someone not stopping at a stop street?
Or someone riding at 120KM/H in a 60 zone?
Or someone overtaking you at a bump in the road?

I didn't say all arabs were bad but some are...

i believe those were your exact words. not some arabs, not most arabs, arabs. now i know english might not be your first language, but that was really poor choice of wording. why would you even use the word arabs? and what does it have to do with the war? i know jews that speed

Israel has in no way created any impediment to Hamas' existence during this conflict. On the contrary, Hamas will only come out stronger with more popular support.

In terms of simple strategy, attacking Hamas was pure idiocy and guaranteed to increase support for them from the Palestinians.

Okay i made a fault saying the arabs, so its not all arabs, its just for many many years of my life i have lived with them and they won't even give you one little bit, so thats how i perceive it...

Are you taking on what i am? FYI i am english not afrikaans, yes i speak afrikaans very well but its not my first language.
