John Ging, head of the UN Palestinian refugee agency in Gaza, said: "It's about accountability [over] the issue of the appropriateness of the force used, the proportionality of the force used and the whole issue of duty of care of civilians.

"We don't want to join any chorus of passing judgment but there should be an investigation of any and every incident where there are concerns there might have been violations in international law."

Now that there is pretty darn funny in itself.
That's the old stupid argument of saying that if i attack you, you had better not attack me too hard back.
I'll shoot at you with a rifle, but you had better not use a machine gun to shoot at me back.
I'll blow up a nightclub of yours...but you had better not use tanks against me.
I'll kill your civilians one at a time, but go running to mommy (UN) if you fire rockets back.
No fair! You can't defend yourself soooo much. Waaah!

Did someone call the WAAAAMBULANCE?

Exactly. Everyone is making a big deal over this.
Should Israel have sent in just two tanks? Three? What about four?

The bottom line is - Hamas wanted to kill, and so the appropriate response is to kill them.
The Arab journalists and lawyers are quick to say "If you slap me, am I entitled t o shoot you?". This is totally misleading.
Closer to the truth is "If you try and stab me with a broken bottle - must I drop my gun and only defend myself with a broken bottle too?"

Bollocks.

If someone throws a stone at you and you send him on his way with a tank shell you can't claim self defence.

Exactly... I agree!

Now we find ways of punishing OUR businesses because we THINK we support their little 'war'

I mean come on people, they've been going at each other for ages!

If you guys go and look at the six day war and the numbers therein you will see the forces of the Arabs were easily 3 to 5 times more than the forces of the Israeli's and now the Arabs are moaning about Israel hitting them too hard?

Probably because Israel took the time to 'further' itself (Technology) instead of like the other side who prefer to rather blow themselves up.

With technology, they don't really need to use people... missles etc do it all themselves.

Please, let's just leave KFC & McDonalds outta this ;)

They make us (or me) fat, that's their only crime!

I support the side that works the hardest to stop this conflict... forever and ever.

Cause, that won't happen, so I guess I'm with Aqua - I support no group.

I support the peace-loving Israelis and I hope they get all the murdering terrorist Hamas so the region can begin to recover! :)

uhm.. some companies have openly stated that they are sending funds there, Pick n Pay comes to mind immediately.

wrt to what u saying, take out US support and see what u left with. heck i'd go so far as to say if the US was prevented from sticking its nose in the region the surrounding would've flattened the place already, technology or not.
