No, that the bible is not consistent so you should be used to it.

um, what? English please?

What does the Bible have to do with the topic at hand? Or are you just resorting to attacks on my person now, because you have nothing else to say?

where does it say they funded it?

Well obviously that quote will not give away all the details but...
According to U.S. administration officials, funds for the movement came from the oil-producing states and directly and indirectly from Israel. The PLO was secular and leftist and promoted Palestinian nationalism. Hamas wanted to set up a transnational state under the rule of Islam, much like Khomeini's Iran.

This could be referring to the freebie fuel and electric power that the Pallies receive from Israel, but I'm sure the funds received from the west were not intended to arm the terrorists with rockets.

so what exactly is your point? There have been many countries that have at one time funded the enemies of their enemies... The US and the Mujahadien (against Russia), The US and Iraq (against Iran), China and North Korea against (South Korea). What are you hoping to prove with this?

Sure, because Israel will never sponsor terrorism... even if it could help further it's interests or help gain western support.

They sure don't look like they are sponsoring Hamas now. Looks to me like they are bombing the royal crap out of them! :D

That the US and Israel stir up their own *** and now we should support them when it hits the fan? like a stupid kid poking a sleeping bear.

Just two comments on Marine1's post -

The credibility of the Israeli forces who deny excessive force wanes when one uses rifle fire as a response to stone throwing...

So, do you want them to throw stones too?

Sky News foreign affairs editor Tim Marshall said he believed the Israelis would hold back from mounting a full-scale invasion.

However, he said the stakes for their country were huge - particularly after the Lebanon war of 2006.

"The Israelis did not necessarily lose against Hizbollah in 2006, but they certainly didn't win, and Israel isn't the sort of country that can afford to be seen not to win twice," he said.

"It would be a massive blow for the Israelis if this operation went horribly wrong and they failed to achieve their objectives.

"For Hamas to claim victory, all they have to do is avoid defeat"

As I see it, it is impossible for Israel to defeat hamas. They can temporarily cripple them and then what.

Does anyone seriously believe this will stop the rocket attacks ? Really - anyone ?

Well is Hizbollah still firring rockets from Lebanon?

No, the same will happen here.

I was just going to say that! :D How can that not be counted as a victory? And it is also proof that all Israel was interested in was the protection of its citizens, since they stopped when they achieved their objective. Is Israel still harassing Hizbollah or the people of Lebanon? No. They only want to live in peace.
