The Middle East Conflict Thread

Israeli soldiers have mostly been killed by friendly fire so far.. Israel's PR is self destructing.

Gaza's borders haven't been strong enough to keep the rockets out in the past so I can't help wondering how this offensive is going to improve that.

There has been heavy fighting and Hamas have been putting up some form of defense but that to me only proves the freedom that these terrorists have had to move about without any resistance from Palestinian government.

I don't think this war is a be all and end all and surely there will be repeats of this in the future..

the un school school that was attacked ... what went wrong that this happened?... thought Israel was surgical in its approach ...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090106/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_israel_palestinians

but i guess with this statement "But it has accused Hamas of using schools, mosques and residential areas for cover." ... everyone is a target ... so no end to Israel "defending" itself ...

EDIT: so you saying there is no end and if everyone is a target until everyone is wiped out will Israel stop?
