Strike on Gaza school 'kills 40'
At least 40 people have been killed in an Israeli air strike on a United Nations-run school in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources have said.

A number of children were among those who died when the al-Fakhura school in the Jabaliya refugee camp took a direct hit, doctors at nearby hospitals said.

People inside had been taking refuge from the Israeli ground offensive.

Earlier, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) warned of a "full-blown humanitarian crisis" in Gaza.

If Israel bombed the UN school it wasnt intentional though I wouldnt be surprised if it was another 'GAZA beach incident'

EDIT: Just so you know, there is no specific concept of Hell in the Jewish faith but rather a temporary purgatory only.

Israel have the coordinates of all the UN buildings/shelters in Gaza...yet they still killed 40 people

wouldnt be surprised in the least if hamas have taken up blowing up schools for their own PR victory

Those guided bombs are only accurate about 93% of the time so it is inevitable that some will miss. Especially in a city so full of people.

If hamas cared about there own people they wouldnt hide behind them.

The commander of the IDF admitted that they hit the UN buildings Nivek . I suggest you watch the news . Turn on channel 406 To see how the IDF are killing woman kids and and even babies .

I found a lot of mainstream media - BBC and CNN at least - interviewing Israeli politicians and basically giving them a LOT of time to justify their need to carpet-bomb Gaza. Rather unimaginative of them, I thought, especially as Israel has been attacking Gaza for the exact same reasons for decades.

German media, on the other hand, is asking more pointed questions like: How, exactly, does Israel think that carpet-bombing Gaza this time will have more of an effect than it did last time.

And when a Hamas-sympathiser tried to play the "disproportionate retaliation" card, the interviewer calmly observed that Hamas would surely have killed more Israelis if it had the means to do so...

Hats off to the Germans -- they seem to have the only journalists who can still make politicans nervous.
