The Official EPL 2010/11 Thread

I see on the HD channel SS are taking the feed directly from Sky? Means you won't get to see your favourite SS presenter Kenny Niemach:p. You have to be on HD though because SS3 has local studio analysis.

And oh... it looks very good in HD:)

Spurs and Man City will be an interesting game to watch. Love to see Spurs taking that one.

High profile signings £100 million.
Losing first game of new season Priceless.

Man City started a bit late but I think Spurs have them out winged tbh. Their counter attack is just way too quick for Man City. However, Man City can pull it off 1 - 0 still. 30 minutes to go :)

I think ManC will look better when Johnson comes on for Wright-Phillips...

I remember when ppl were laughing at Blackpool, how that the highest they'll ever reach is 5th because at the start of the season they're 5th highest alphabetically, now they're first!!

Second on goal difference - Villa beat the Hammers 3-0 !!

Great start to the new season. Unfortunately 2 games have already been severely affected by the mind numbing incompetence of those buffoons they call referees.

Visions from last season all over again!

Yeah they are, which is why we need to wait a little more for everything to settle down before we see the true strengths of the teams. Chamakh looks quite good! I was pleased with the little I saw him in action (was returning from a trip and watched about 40 minutes of the game when I stopped for coffee). One thing though... apart from the red card - was Koscielny any good?

Craig Bellamy banned by Manchester City

Craig Bellamy has been banned from Manchester City and black-listed as one of their players in a show of authority from the club's manager, Roberto Mancini. Bellamy has been told he will not be welcome at City's practice ground when the players resume training tomorrow and ordered to stay away until a deal has been arranged to find him a new club.

It follows several clashes with Mancini and other senior employees over the past few days. Bellamy has been outraged by the way City have marginalised him and has made his feelings clear to the manager and other players. He was told to train with the reserves on Friday but his attitude was perceived to be so "disruptive" the club have told him he is no longer welcome.

An angry Bellamy has returned to Wales to be with his family and is expected to train with Cardiff City tomorrow.

Cardiff have contacted City to ascertain their position and are hoping to capitalise on Bellamy's desire to play for his hometown club by persuading him to take a pay cut on a loan agreement. However, reports of a deal being imminent are premature, with City turning down a request from the Championship club to pay part of Bellamy's £95,000-a-week salary.
