The Official Nintendo DS Thread

@Zerosplice, I could not find the shop, or the one I found said they had no stock, goods moved slow, so they not bringing any extras in.

I have 1 spare, which I had to buy to use up a voucher from Game, been trying to sell it seen as it is still new 2 R1650.00 but no luck, so I am going to take it back to Game after work and swop it out for something else.
 
@iDOL - Last time I checked he had two in stock and he said that in all his years of trading there he didn't have a single customer for it. Maybe someone bought it before you did.

oh just loving the ds now, even had my wife and son competing for it now, might consider keeping the 2nd one for them then.
 
Hey guys i need help... Please tell me i have nothing to worry about... When i close my DS not even halfway through, the top screen makes some garbage.

Will imported DS games (region code USA) play on a DS Lite purchased locally (distributed by Core)?
 
Yes - I am pretty sure all DS's and games are not region coded. :)

Example: The soon to be released game "Dream Pinball" will be imported by Take2 with a USA region code. Will this play on a DS Lite distributed in SA through the official Core channel? Is the Core distributed DS Lites region locked?
 
Who saw teh nintendogs tv advert? Nice to see that the distributor of nintendo products in finally advertising. Unlike with the previous bunch of idiots. When the DS was launched here it was out for a month before I even knew it was....I had a DS by then already, but my point is poor marketing.

I think Core is probably MINTING it off teh Wii... and Wii sales will fuel DS sales....

I may be buying a friend's Nintendo DS. Just one snag though....it is the US version.
What plugs/power converters do I need to buy to ensure that it works as it should?
 
you'll only need a plug that converts US to SA.
I bought mine from a guy that came from england, and i just bought the converter so i can charge it...

I LOVE MY DS LITE!!!:)
