I do enjoy the cushioning of the Glycerin 21 GTS, but that has stability elements built in. What I like about the Velocity is the responsiveness and that it works nicely for all paces I'm capable off.

Arghh... too many choices.

I bought the brooks Ghost max 2 during the Black Friday sale I mainly use it for shorter easy runs atm between 10-15 kms. I have not put it through a range of paces yet. The fit for me is not snug like the puma's and I find that there's too much room for movement. It's not a bad thing and can prob be resolved by trying out different lacing techniques.
Overall it's a good shoe. My brain still defaults to the puma's. Habit maybe? Not sure. All I know is I've now thrown out all the adidas shoes I had. Adidas won't see me for a while.
I still want to try the hyperion tempo 2 from brooks and the glycerin max. I don't really need more shoes atm.

You will love the deviates if you like the responsiveness from the velocity's
 
I've found that puma's discount codes have a threshold on shoe sales. If X amount of shoes have been sold , especially the more premium shoes, the discount stops working on shoes and only gets applies on apparel. So it might not work later during the day if you wait too long.

Order placed. Not losing out again. Decided to stick to the original plan and got 2 x Velocity Nitro 3's , a Deviate Nitro 3 and some running caps. Not sure why the order summary after payment shows the 2 caps as 'out of stock'. Hopefully my order was for the last of their stock. Really wouldn't want my order to be delayed.

Great, now you can shift your focus to socks and caps🤣. I've been buying alot of caps on temu lately.

Caps are sorted. Got 2 coming, 2 in use, 2 as backup.

Socks are also kinda sorted. Still want to try the Silver Cushioned Falke socks. Loving the Stride ones.

You need a chest strap HR monitor or the one that goes around tour arm so that you can do some lactate threshold tests

Ha! Maybe next year. I have been eyeing the Coros HR monitor for a while now. ;)

Glad I got my Puma order in. I see the Deviate 3 size 8 is now out of stock.

Puma order shows as shipped, although it hasn't actually shipped. The courier still needs to pick it up.

Same here, I received a order shipped mail this morning. Usually The courier company delivers quickly. I should have it by Thursday.
 
I'm still running in my old vivo's they're crazy expensive, but I see those Nitro's as just as expensive.

At the sale price the Velocity Nitro's are a no brainer. My Velocity Nitro 2's are at 190km and show basically zero wear. Well worth the money.

I should have included some puma running socks in my recent purcahase. At 50% discount it only costs like R39 per pair.

Anyways I got a sms that says my shoes have been collected by the courier dnd and will be delivered on or before the 20th.
