Now why do a silly thing like that ?

I was working out at a client near Arcadia in the PABX room, clasping the phone to my ear on a business call and it slipped...right onto an unused plug that was lying with it's prongs in the air, like a cruel Venus flytrap just waiting for its prey :(

Google will typically copy a lot of that stuff over, as long as you allow your previous phone to back that stuff up

Firefox has it"s own syncing mechanism? I don't this these will be copied over by google
Why I prefer root. Titanium backup is really awesome when it comes to these things

I did the root and jailbreak thing a while back. Apart from the fun of fiddling with your toys, there is not much benefit gained from going that route for most people.

There is nothing my phone doesn't do that I want it to do

Oh my wife has cracked three Xiaomi screens, two note 2 and one Note 3, the Note 3 has just come back from being fixed by MIA, working like a bomb.

Ok so I have dual whatsapp and telegram apps running on the phone. When selecting the one whatsapp it goes straight into the profile it needs to go into, when selecting the other one it asks me which one to open.

This is the same for telegram. Is there a way to fix this as I would prefer to not choose which one I would like to access everytime.

I am using nova launcher if that makes a difference.

The other thing that is bothering me a bit is the media I receive in whatsapp when using data is not being downloaded automatically even though the settings are correct within whatsapp. If I am on wifi it downloads as it should but on normal data I have to manually download the pictures.

On the stock launcher it gives you 2 different icons. So it doesn't ask which WhatsApp to open.

As for the media issue, not sure on that.

The Redmi Note 5 might be a day 1 purchase for me. Just waiting for the specs to be official.

Utterly confused by the naming conventions - i.e. how to tell difference between low, mid, high end devices and latest model of each. They certainly don't make it easy to understand. Thing there was a post here someplace in the last couple of months but am unable to find it.

Anyone willing to offer their 2c to help a potential new user...

For a new device, its not worth the effort. For an old device you can certainly bring it back to life, by loading a custom rom.

Got the Note 8 port running on the S6. Really smooth.

In most cases the x or the a represents a better spec device, but not all the time. Xiaomi is the one company that will confuse not only you, but many others..
