One developer reveals its game sold "like 200% more on Steam" while it was free on Epic Games Store; CEO Tim Sweeney doesn't seem to mind.
There is also a critical assessment to be made, but I will 'quote' the charts. The game in question is Blood West, released December 5th, 2023.
Pricing on Steam:

Though it is a well rated game, according to Steam, it is not an active game. Discounts like that shows that the game isn't selling to expectations. Some publishers, once a game is being wound down, like EA and Ubi, does big discounts.
Games like this, in their late cycle, discounted during sales. Communities like Archi loves them. They mine them to make card packs, account levelling.
I don't see how this will bother EGS at all, it is Steam culture. Whether a game is being given away by them or not. I would have appreciated to see Dave show the same sales chart when it was bundled on Fanatical during 4 events in 2025.

Blood West isn't a bad game. Just lacks awareness. More people should buy, and play, the game.
