Huh? That is how the subscription service works unless you have purchased the title (or right to use). You don't get to keep the titles you have added to your library through the subscription service.

All my existing titles still work. The titles which I upgraded through the subscription have all have been downgraded once my subscription expired. This means that some savegames are incompatible now, but EA Origin does give you this notice when upgrading a title.

Like in my case I still have upgraded titles under my 'Favourites,

Feck knows why EA is super expensive with DLC. Their business plan is to get people onto the subscription, and those who really like to 'own' their titles can buy and upgrade at a discount whilst subscribed. Silly really - Forcing people onto services.

$5 isn't bad though. I don't play new games in any case, I wait until they are completely released and matured so the basic plan is more than I need when I need it.

When you want to casually play games, nobody needs anything more than an Xbox Game Pass. It is only Ubi which has a schitty subscription model.

I see what Epic and their sellers are engaging in. It is a clever plan, to be honest. They did it also with the Farming Simulator. Give away the base game and then promote the DLC, a clever way in combating piracy and people can get to try out the game and decide themselves whether they want to add bells and whistles by purchasing them.

Old trick. Thats how bungie got their claws into me with Destiny 2. Gave the very excellent base game away
