I absolutely love those indie games. I appreciate whenever a story-narrative game is made as you don't see them amongst the AAA-titles anymore like the good click-and-point adventure games, some have very unique game mechanics which some people experience as annoying, but it is the game and games needs to test the player's abilities whether it is problem-solving (as silly as it may be) and or reaction based (skill-based). Even walking simulators stimulates the player by exploration.

Manual Samuel does what it does quite well.
