The Premium PC Games For Free Thread

Seems Epic are going to carry on with the weekly games into the new year. Cool.

People suspected that Epic may not have renewed their weekly free game offer for a 3rd year.

Ja, I saw some random game being advertised for next week. Not sure I'll take it, even if it is free.

T
Free is free. The one thing Epic has done is make me try games I'd never give a flying toss about.
True, but I play the games I know. Or want too. I suppose just clicking to receive them doesn't have to mean downloading them. But I also don't like clutter, and that extends to my game platforms. :)

I see next week's Epic giveaway is going to cause some tremors. The game is patched, people like the condition it is in, and seemingly EA wants people back online. BattleFront 2, Celebration Edition, good one.

So... next Star Wars game announcement around the corner?

This week is Crying Suns, Dune lore.

It shouldn't cause any tremors. Battlefront 2 is an amazing game.
My issue is, how does it work if you already have it on Origins. Does EA run the Origin client through Epic or have they done away with that requirement.

Big game. 90.2GB on my HDD.

Yes, to snip my library as an example,

as you can see the product is associated with its respective marketplace. I can launch some titles as standalone, but some which I have acquired through Steam does require to be launched via Steam which then prompts Origin. Likewise with Fallen Order as shown, I need to launch it via Epic which prompts Origin. I guess it is pending on the DRM. The ecosystem still stays with EA Origin, cloud saves exists on Origin and not on Steam/Epic as an example.

What is going to cause the tremor is people queuing to play the game online. Next weekend is going to be a big EA weekend.

Interesting so I'll probably have two battlefront 2's listed in Origin then.
