Gayton Mckenzie as the Minister of Police or Home Affairs. Would be really interesting, I wonder if he would still be doing those Limpopo river runs if appointed MoHA's.
we already have a xenophobe minister of home affairs, we sure as hell do not need another one!

someone obsessed with the law, due process and above all efficiency is what is needed there

I'd say use the KZN Lt.Gen but quite frankly we all say leave him the f*** alone where he is!

I guess you right, but the energy he has for someone his size is unmatched. But then again anyone who tries to resolve the border problem will inevitably be labelled a xenophobe due to the radical stance you require to resolve the problem.

the problem is a strong border stance quickly evolves into a "fahk the europeans" stance, as if our illegal immigrant issue has EVER stemmed from there

and a "fahk the europeans" stance is a nett negative for South Africa, it's also what we already have in home affairs

He's in no position to call shots. He's just itching to get the EFF in which will collapse any agreements in the rest of the country. The ANC is aware of this...
Gauteng is the last place they should choose to die on, very easy to remove that premier.

It is the last power province they can hold on to though.

By murdering innocent civilians? Alrighty then.

You think terrorists don't normally have righteous aims?

There is context here. The struggle was at first non-violent but when liberation movements were banned militant wings were established cross border. This has been documented numerous times and at this stage it is like flogging a head horse.

Activists were jailed, tortured and murdered without trial notwithstanding the heavy-handed death sentences of others. The Nats even went as far as raiding Lesotho to kill some. The bombings etc were seen as retaliatory attacks and not terror attacks, except for the government of course who deemed them acts of terrorism. The latter life sentences, instead of death sentences, were due to international pressure and not magnanimity on the part of the Apartheid government.

So in retaliation it's okay to murder innocent civilians? AND expect not to be classified as a terrorist organization.

F*** your context, innocents died.

indiscriminately maiming and killing civilians with the aim of bringing about political change is the dictionary definition of terrorism

it makes no difference that the apartheid government happened to agree with the dictionary definition and it makes no difference that the cause was righteous, it was still terrorism, plain and simple
