Oof. Didn't she disobey Senate orders by working with the ANC in Durban?

"Her loyalties do not lie with ActionSA and instead lie with aspiring to grow her own political aspirations at the great cost of her constituency and ActionSA," it further read.

Beaumont said evidence before the panel also confirmed that there had been communication between Khoza and ringleaders of a group who were plotting to "deal with" ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba.
"This conversation took place in close proximity to a protest by these former members outside the City of Johannesburg Council Chamber in which they can be heard chanting Khoza's name.

"In this respect, the panel found Dr Khoza to be prone to conspiracy theories, aggressive behaviour and even continuing to threaten the party with threats to damage its reputation further," he said.
By reading this did she and a faction (****ing politics and factions) plan to usurp Mashaba in future? Did she also perhaps instigate the whole Soweto meme where Soweto members of ActionSA protested against Mashaba as well?

If all of that is true, then I can see why ActionSA would want her out.

First you had the military's unauthorised purchase of Covid drugs from Cuba, now the police wasting R100 million on equipment gathering dust. Remind me again why Cele has not been given his marching orders by Ramaphosa. No one to be held to account.

The grabbers require certificates of exemption from justice minister Ronald Lamola as it is a criminal offence to have these devices without such a certificate.

Police minister Bheki Cele only requested the certificates nine months after the grabbers were bought. His request was denied.

However, the grabbers were used to monitor journalists and politicians illegally
.

The 15 surveillance drones purchased were the wrong specifications, and the police only have two officers with the required licences to fly the drones. The drones are now sitting in a storage facility.

That's ****ed, a lot like PRASA buying the wrong trains.

Anyway, on the topic of Cele not ****ing off, we'll have to hope the Motion of No Confidence against the Cabinet passes.

Rama desperately trying to please the Russians...
That's how we roll.

Compare SA's response to Kenya who delivered a scathing attack on Russia, even though it would cost them in export revenue.

There's a critical difference there, SA's response is based on the ANC's response to this. They are pro-Russia (cause you know, "ThEY HeLP Us DuRING ApArTHeid", no I'm not joking, you should watch the Ukraine/Russia debate in Parliament and see the ANC MPs' responses as well as Rama's comments since the start of this whole thing) but they don't want to lose some of that good gravy from the West if they straight up say they support Russia...

Yeah knowledge is a treasure. On another social media platform I had a spar with a member who stated they stand with Russia because Russia helped them during apartheid. After pointing out that it was mostly military support (useless but that's another discussion) and that non military support came almost exclusively from the West and where the ANC leadership in exile were based. (They were not aware of this). I then asked why leaders like Tambo were in London and not in USSR or Cuba, they were silenced. For the ANC they believe the sword is mightier than the pen.

You see this shite everywhere on Twitter since SA Twitter is dominated by the RET Azanians who genuinely believe this **** defence for supporting Russia.

Not Africa, but take a look at Japan.
They were in all sorts of talks with Russia prior to the war, occupation, operation, invasion - but their little Sushis firmed up and they told Russia to get lost.

Don't get me wrong - I don't care what position CR takes, but he should simply put his cards on the table and say - I support x or y because ...... and then live with that decision.

Yeah, supporting either side (well, not so much Russia IMO) or being actually neutral is better than what we have now.
What grinds my gears is the "neutral" stance he takes (pro-Russia but too scared to say it to the West).

But why? What's wrong with sitting on the fence? Hypocrisy is totally allowed in such instances, It is a tried and tested strategy that has worked for many of the countries who are now shouting at us to take a firm stand.

I wouldn't have a problem if the SA Gov was truly neutral since the beginning of this war. But the gov has been sending mixed signals and then afterwards started to implicitly defend the Russians.

At the start, DIRCO (and by extension, SA gov) said that SA supports Ukraine. Then not shortly after that, the ANC/Rama intervenes and gets DIRCO to retract the statement. Since then the ANC/Rama has said that they are "neutral", while indirectly defending the Russians at every turn. I mean they refuse to condemn them or at least mention them in their UN resolution proposal as well as refusing to call a spade a spade and call the Russians' invasion of Ukraine an invasion or war.

In the Parliament's debate about this, the ANC MPs that spoke that included Lindiwe Zulu (a cabinet minister) used typical ANC defences such as "ApArTheiD" and "ImPerAliSM" as a defence for the ANC's "neutral" stance regarding the Russians. And blamed NATO. Later on, when it was President's Questions, Rama did the same thing and blamed NATO while implicitly defending Russia as well.

So in conclusion, that's why I have a problem with "sitting on the fence" in this case, cause ANC and by extension, SA Gov isn't truly sitting on the fence but acting "neutral" like the Putinbots in the NATO/Ukraine thread.

I'd like to point and laugh, but it's just sad that this lot just seem unable to understand why they're losing members, and it's not due to meetings start late and dragging on for hours.
