No longer in the leadership, lost his leadership post in 2016 (most likely after the Ministerial debacle) to Groenewald. Ceased being VF+ MP in 2017.

Lost it or stepped down. He ceased to be a cabinet minister in 2014 and elected not to stand for FF+ in 2016. His choice.

Mulder stepped down as leader of the Freedom Front Plus in late-2016, and was replaced by fellow MP Pieter Groenewald

Unclear as to who the 'we' is that she refers to and does she have a mandate to speak for the "we".
I believe she is the only COPE councillor there, if she doesn't have the mandate to speak on behalf of COPE in the Joburg council I wonder who does?

As the only Cope council member she cannot refer to 'we". As far as Cope leadership goes she went rogue. Where does she come with the "we".

Last time I checked she was still a member of COPE, a COPE councillor in the Joburg council and a chair of chairs, what would stop her from speaking on behalf of COPE?

I don't believe he even contested, that how ridiculous it is to want to make it as though he was chased away for going rogue and being in Zuma's cabinet against his party's wishes.
For sure he had to have his parties support but I have no doubt it was not unanimous. Looking at the national elections dashboard
the FF+ slightly increased their number and % between 2009 and 2014 so the decision did not appear to cost them voter support.

Cope. You cannot join a party then do as you please. In fact I recall you stating exactly the same thing about rogue ANC members' YOU claimed they need to follow parties decisions. Hypocrite much.

Since the COPE leadership and the rest of the coalition have denounced her...

But, would that damage the ANC at the next elections, I wonder?
Most likely yeah. The RET might be ecstatic but the rest of the country not so much.

They would get hit at the polls worse than the ANC under Rama will.
