I reckon both Motlanthe and Cyril are thinking "If only we knew...".

But it seems Motlanthe is seeing the writing on the wall, with many others in Cyril's camp calling for immediate reform probably too...

The ANC view it as their democratic right to buy votes.

So it's private funds, confirmed. Not public money. So everyone can calm the **** down.

Curious:
The DA leader said, however, that the department “has actively sabotaged meetings with role-players” before. During his last trip to the Middle East some meetings he had set up in with Palestinian authorities were cancelled due to what he believed to have been South African government interference.

Would make sense since if DA went to Palestine to chat, it would destroy the ANC's image of being Palestine's only friend...
