i just hope these guys sort the cracks out with too much hassle
im goin to the service centre pta, got the no from SE call centre
laters guys
 
ok just got back from sss cellular
and got my phone back = no more cracks
they were friendly and helpful, and ill def reccommend them
the best service ive ever recieved, a step in the right direction for SE
they werent too busy and said i could wait while they replace the frame
was done in a less than hour

So does this mean that SE South Africa is now replacing/admitting to the cracks issue or is it just this one branch of the official repair agents that are acknowledging this issue?
Unfortunately responses are not consistent throughout the country and record needs to be kept for future users as SE SA's official response at their CC is always "this is the first time we hear of this problem and suggest you contact the nearest repair centre" and they advise you that you could be paying for repairs as it sounds like negligence.
Anyone wanna call them and take the test? :)

already running 2.5 since last nite:D

@sameer i think its best u call the repair centre before u go and find out wats the deal.
i was goin to go to the one in pta, but they didnt answer their phone when i wanted to, (and when i spoke to them previously they were uhmming and aaahing and i must bring it in and then they will see.) so i called sss and they said they will replace it once they check that it is not impact related.
where ru based? u got crack?

are you using the alarm? seems as if there is a bug that makes the sound play only the first bit then stop, then first bit then stop etc...?
im now using the included app Klaxon. its flippen awesome, hasnt let me down yet, and it has such awesome big buttons for snooze etc
 
ooooh just picked up that 2.5 has a nice little "vibrate on connect" as well as a vibrate on the TF3d menu scroll.
ok that might sound a bit lame, but its not like you think.... its an awesome quick little confirmation type vibrate. um i dont think im describing it well hehe
 
ive actually installed the vibrate on tf3d on touch x rom when i was still using it
the vibrate on connect is cool tho, thanks for the alarm tip but i think i prefer gtrabs alarm to klaxon
 
attention all Valkrye Firestorm users.... 2.6leo is out.

From the screengrabs it looks amazing, installing right now.

seems like some new home screen shortcut buttons..... niceeeeeeee

this is like a whole new build/program...

had the usual install and first boot issues, battery removed, hard reset etc
but it eventually started up fine

will feedback very soon, gonna play with it quick
 
Rodga does SSS have a branch in pta? Did you flash standard rom before takign it in?
 
nope the one in pta is run by some other guys 'lets trade' i think
yep went back to stock, but i dunno if they check it out, they prob power it on to check if everything is connected properly, but then theyll see its not the stock one

this is MASSSSSIVE. the new 2.6 is not just a bug fix release. major new functions, its amazing

valkyrie 2.5 is awesome. i was on the verge of destroying my x1 now i love it!!!! every x1 user needs this to truly use the x1 in its proper way.
better than iphone UI i think...

ps whats the new features on 2.6?
 
Hi all

I am still stuck back on 2.4... you know? that OLD release from last week sometime lol

The one question I have is how Do i easily backup and restore all info when flashing the new ROM every couple of days? things like mesages and programs and settings?
I know that UC (user customization) is supposed to do this to so extend but I need to know how lol

Anyone notice a battery life decrease since Touch X and Firestorm?

also I believe that firestorm 2.6 has the new touch flo build and there are huge inprovements!

yeah there are definatley a couple things they need to smooth out but overall its a MUST!!!!!!!!!
massive diff between 2.5 and 2.6

im loving it
