That looks like povety spec, I am sure higher end spec will go up to 16 inch alloys.

The tyres fitted to the 16" rims as per the Baleno, are just as scarce and also expensive..

It looks like the Swifts produced in India will only have a 1200 motor and no 1400 motor. Since the Swifts (not the Sport) come from India, my guess is that there will only be a 1200 motor.

New 2018 Suzuki Swift spotted in Cape Town: We have prices of the stylish new hatch

The new Suzuki Swift has been spotted at a dealership in South Africa ahead of its national launch early in June 2018.

Suzuki has already deployed several units to dealerships nationwide as the Japanese automaker readies itself for the launch of its next-generation Swift to the South African market.

Next-gen Swift

There are currently three hatchback derivatives in the range, all powered by a 1.2-litre engine.

Prices start from R159 900 for the 1.2i GA manual and R189 900 for the 1.2 GL auto. We'll have more details, including prices for the sedan variant, closer to its local launch.

Based on the above it is clear that Suzuki SA is (initially at least) positioning the new Swift below the Baleno. Only entry-level low spec models offered locally.

That's a shame, the top spec model really looks nice with the bigger alloys, the rest of the range just looks meh
