Anyway, what would have been 'better' is if Assad had actually implemented democratic reforms rather than letting his country collapse into civil war because he's a power-mad despot. He's to blame for Al-Nusra actually having a foothold at all.

You must understand i am not anti west and pro assad russia but i can something horrific coming in syria and everyone is blinded by a chemical attack, 1300 and everyone is in a flap, nobody evens knows how strong al nusra are yet they claim to, i have given plenty evidence, from israel to the uk and youtube videos showing you how strong al nusra are.

I am not claiming anything alan, i am simply showing you that syria is not as simple as all the other simple regime changes that have worked so well right? Name me a country that has had a regime change that is doing well? Name me an intervention the US have been involved in that has actually ended up with anything other than more killing by extremists who are then given freedom to grow. The US are empowering the very same people that killed 3000 americans. If that sits well with you alan fine but i can't see any good coming from the removal of assad all i can is massacres, shariah law, lebanon falling and israel having to deal with people on a scale i don't think they can cope with. The US could not cope with it. Common they are fighting the bad man assad they haven't got a red line. The US is going to make one of the worst decisions it has ever made. This has nothing to do with pro assad pro russian anti US, simply put the US have no control over the rebels, they have no post assad plan, they have no way of ensuring the stockpiles of chemical weapons won't be used against israel but let's bomb them anyhow, it has worked so well in the past.

The sad thing is there is nothing to laugh at, 100000 dead. The US about to hand syria over to the people they have been fighting for the last decade and the people who killed 3000 americans. Israel for the first time faced with an enemy that won't be coming at them with conventional war. The interesting thing is when assad is gone, who is the common enemy amoung these radical groups? Will iran be the target but they are not the common enemy for all sides. There is only one country. I think these groups hate jews more than they hate the other groups and if i am correct well goodluck israel.

The plan is Assad goes,that's been the plan all along - Even when negotiations are tabled they go nowhere as soon as there is mention about anything that involves the Syrian people having a choice that may also involve Assad.
They're sticking to their plan no matter how many more people get killed(but Assad, Russia & China are the bad guys).
Last few month's Assad's had the upper hand, now all of a sudden this excuse for engagement.
The A-teams plan wasn't working so they needed a plan b which is what we see about to happen now.
Did you read the Arab observers report that actually backed up what Assad was saying back in the start of this - probably not cos it got no press - it didn't fit the agenda.

Yup i know, they were not planning in the beginning that russia would veto along with china, since then they have never had a chance, then assad throws away two and half years battling rebel forces knowing what it would cause an intervention, sounds about right for people who have not woken up i think.
