Hectic stuff.

The USA supplying weapons and training to mercenaries to topple Syria's Government.

Russia destroying USA's mercenaries, and ideological extremists (that the typical citizen despises due to US propaganda in the first place).

All the while both USA and Russia having to smile to the camera's and tell their citizens that everything is lekker.

"Do we support our government supporting mercenaries in Syria ? Or do we support the Russian's who are killing terrorists and supporting democracy?"

Is the question people are going to ask themselves.

This is enormous.

We have to see evidence that they did target ISIS and not just anti Assad rebels. ;)

Well, that's EXACTLY the problem. The line between the two is very blurred since reports are that many anti Assad rebels joined with ISIS (that is also fighting Assad). The fear is that any support the US gives to the rebels could be channeled into ISIS. So now, having instigated an anti Assad rebellion, the US has been checkmated as they are damned if they do support them and potentially taken for fools if their weapons and training winds up with ISIS and damned if they don't because then they are abandoning the rebellion they started. Things would have gone a lot better for them if Obama hadn't drawn his "line in the sand" against Assad over chemical weapons which backfired so badly when Putin came to Assad's side and the actual provenance of the weapons turned out to be so murky. At least Assad is still secular, albeit a dictator, but by destabilizing Assad, all the US has achieved is to strengthen the caliphate.

250,000 dead over the passed few years;
people taking their chances at sea to get to Europe;

A few more casualties is not so bad; Russia claims that they not, with precise accuracy, but do you have a linkedy-link-link for the civilian part?

Besides, what is worse than killing civilians is inculcating them to become ideological extremists, and them in turn killing others. That is completely ****ed.

But don't want to argue on that, cause there is so much going on without speculation.

Yussis, here is some first class propaganda...

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34471849

The western papers are going on about Russia flying an airplane over Turkey, and this is cause for Nato to start threatening Russia.

What a load of absolute garbage.

Really scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

I support democracy, even socialism over neo-liberal plutocracy.

**** these guys. Go Russia!

We have most of the world's superpowers with advanced weaponry fighting ISIL but they can't defeat them. In fact I think they're getting stronger.

Why?

What?

Russia has only just started fighting, and unlike America, they're actually intent on doing something about ISIS instead of simply trying to keep ISIS contained until Assad has been deposed.

So it's faaaaaaaar too early to claim that the world's superpowers can't defeat them.

Why?

Because, that wasn't their true agenda.
Their true agenda was to oust Assad, and (possibly inadvertently) creating ISIS.

911 whether it was an inside job or not; they used as the reason to get the populations behind them to venture to the middle east.
I remember when I was 11/12 years old watching on TV and seeing terrorists testing poison out on cute Labradors. I love dogs, the bastards... Pulling on my heart strings.

All this has done is put fear in the hearts and minds right round the world.

They created the need and support to get rid of terrorism, and now their very ideology they created is favoring Russia.
I love it.
They caught with their pants down.

You're saying the US inadvertently created ISIL trying to get rid of Assad?

So US not really pro active because they started this conflict in Syria and are now "caught with their pants down"?

The US leads the coalition against ISIS which means that all supporting countries follow their policy of just keeping them in check which I think is preposterous.

I mean half of Europe and the Middle East are tackling these terrorists who seem to be recruiting normal civilians with no training by the truck loads, yet this war has been going on for years.

US defeated Sadaam in a matter of days.
