The weight loss thread

Yesterday was my third dose of Ozempic. Last week felt like the Ozempic wasn't working so I didn't see much drop in weight. I moved up to 0.5mg and hoping it will keep me satiated as the "cramping" is back. I'm wondering if the injection site plays a key role as last week was in the upper back of the arm. First week and this was in the stomach.

In total, I've lost 3.7kg so far and hoping to push under 100kg within the next two weeks if things keep on track. First time in over 5 years!

Site makes a big difference , I find my “sweet spots” 7-10cm from my belly button ( to the left or right)

How did this thread go from: "Change your diet to this, exersise like that, count your calorie intake" to "I've upped my dose of Ozempic as I am not seeing results"?

LOL. I still exercise to control weight but I did notice that "rich" guys have taken over of late.

I’m doing what works for me, and Mounjaro is part of that plan alongside exercise and diet. Everyone’s weight loss path looks a little different.

Just don't be dependant on it for you to succeed.

Tomorrow some reatards abuse it and it gets banned, just so that people lose motivation and stop everthing.

For me, it’s been a life of bad eating habits, from being prescribed adhd meds from the age of 7….. THANK YOU transvaaaaal education depaaaartment ( yes, for some it the appetite suppression side effects wreaked havoc ), which destroyed healthy eating habits and in turn my metabolism, after 30 odd years of this, these meds have done more in the last 16 weeks to undo that damage , than what traditional diet and exercise has done

Hm..
Undercover Ozempic salesmen, perhaps?
I doubt. Many seem to be in UK and these costs won't pinch them much as much as they do to us here.

At least two of them seem to have tried natural way before giving it up. Could be genuine reason tbh. I dropped 12kg in a year and battling to drop even 1kg since last 6 months. It is hard now. If I could afford it, I would probably go that way, if medically advisable.

You can drop 1KG in 2 days. Just don't eat. Or use a laxitive.

In my case: I easily can pick up 3-4KG over a weekend, binge eating and drinking like John Steenhuisen. I lose all of it between Monday-Friday, by burning 350+ calories in the gym and intermittent fasting, each day.

Back when Covid-lockdowns started and I was fat, one couldn't get take-aways. I went full-on carnivore with calorie-counting, and dropped 20KG in 5 months.

The only challenge is to have discipline.

Dude none of what you are describing is healthy or sustainable or feasible for the vast majority of humans. If it was a matter of simple discipline then nobody would be overweight. It is vastly more complicated than that. Coming here and dumping on people who are struggling in a way that you clearly can't comprehend because of you verkrampte viewpoint is 100% part of the problem.

These drugs are unbelievably effective and make a real difference for people where nothing else was working. Its a start and obviously not the end goal. It helps people make progress which they couldn't before and sets them up for success.

Following your logic then you should reject all technology and medicine cause it is a "shortcut". Until you have the "discipline" to grow your own food, build your own infrastructure, educate your own children, walk to every appointment you have... etc etc then rather just be understanding and supportive. Aseblief. People just need whatever support is necessary to make the changes cause the cost of obesity is just so sever for them and society. Be lekka.

It is wonderful (or tragic) that pharmaceuticals exist for people who suffer from a self-inflicted, and a completely self-curable, condition simply because they lack discipline.

Especially tragic if you're a undisciplined man. You're weak.

wow...

Been gyming again for the last 4 months and cutting the carbs. Have lost 10+ kgs. Feeling good, but damn these old knees hurt like hell. Busy debating this mornings session ...

10/08/2025: 104.0kg
I've cut out quite a few things, on an average day I consume 4 eggs scrambled, with a dash of cream and 100g of mushrooms with a knob of butter.

I don't eat lunch.

Dinner will be some sort of protein chicken/beef/fish paired with either cauliflower/green beans/broccoli or spinach in a white sauce that I make using fresh cream and full fat cream cheese.

I also do a chicken broccoli and white sauce from time to time.

Oh right so still eating the same stuff but slowly just reduce the amount every second month.
So now I do 3 eggs, knob of butter, same amount of mushrooms.
I noticed I'm starting to get hungrier around lunch so I started adding in an avocado every day as well at about 3pm and dinner is usually at 5-7pm depending on work.
