Interestingly, the strongest it's been in the last 5 years, according to XE.com, is R12.718. Wouldn't mind seeing it going that low.
That can't be right, should be lower than R9 back then?

Not last 5 years. About 8 years ago was when it was at the level you're thinking of.
Keep in mind I'm referring to Euro here.
EDIT: OK that was 6 years ago, not 8.
