my expectations are non existent, and I think its foolish to put hope where there is Zero Hope of there being anything.
after all the Country Chased out its only source of revenue for a pathetic attempt at "redistribution" , that failed and failed miserably.

the rulers rule by decree, and put on a show only for some entertainment every so often,
and just like the rest of Africa, failed states dependent on handouts and begging for Rich countries to give them food, even when they some of the most fertile Soils on the planet.

honestly, we all know who going to be the President, unless a Gigantic Civil war erupts, where the rulers are executed live on TV in typical Africa style.
only to be replaced by even more brutal rulers who quickly turn the Countries Tax revenue into their own personal Slush fund for trips to Switzerland.

glad I could entertain you, I suppose the fact they even have sham elections is entertainment enough for me when the winner is predetermined.
maybe you should also enjoy the Chinese CCP voting for Laws in a big Hall, when the decision is predetermined.

Illegals would keep on coming for greener pastures irrespective of situation at home. Legit guys are likely to return if situation is better. For example, some of the Zim academic people I know talk about returning home if situation improves.
 

Zimbabwean high court bars 12 opposition parliamentary candidates from contesting August 23 elections​


A Bulawayo High Court judge on Thursday, 27 July, barred 12 parliamentary candidates of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), led by Nelson Chamisa, from taking part in the 23 August general elections after finding that they filed their nomination papers late.

The Zanu-PF activists who filed the court application claimed that the opposition candidates filed their nomination papers after the 4pm deadline that the nomination court set on 21 June. The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission had opposed the application, arguing the opposition candidates had filed on time.

Moments after the Bulawayo judgment was pronounced, a Harare high court judge dismissed an application filed by opposition leader Linda Masarira of the Labour Economists & Afrikan Democrats party challenging the refusal by the electoral commission to accept her nomination papers to contest the presidency.

Justice Gladys Mhuri did not give full reasons for her judgment and only read the operative part. Masarira said she would take the necessary steps after familiarising herself with the full reasons of the court.

Masarira failed to submit her nomination papers after she could not deposit the money required by the nomination court for her to stand as a presidential candidate after encountering administrative problems with the banks.

So, on the back of an application by the Zanu-PF, a High Court bars opposition candidates for late submissions of their nomination papers on the eve of elections, contradicting the findings of the Electoral Commission. Another High Court dismisses the challenge of this ruling by the opposition without providing a full explanation and one of the candidates was late in her application because of ''administrative problems with the banks.''

Another former Zanu-PF member (albeit a Mugabe acolyte) was also barred after the Zanu-PF challenged his participation. Said person was part of a faction that wanted to put Grace Mugabe in power and not Emmerson Mnangagwa.

It is almost as if the entire system has been weaponised against any opposition and dissenters.

HARARE - Zimbabwe's main opposition says it has been barred from campaigning ahead of the elections.

Campaigners say they were going door-to-door in Harare when riot police arrived and told them to disperse.

They say this is a deliberate attempt to thwart efforts to break Zanu-PF's 43-year grip on power.

If the situation improves the menial jobs that the illegal immigrants work at in SA will be more readily available in Zimbabwe, reducing their numbers like before 2000.

It will depend how much money the labour market over there will offer for those jobs, I think SA pays well for menial jobs, they often boast about earning more than teachers, police and other professions.

Zim people are the ones who do most work in our complex, be it painting, domestic, gardening, electrician, plumbing. They in turn employ other nationalities of course. At times, quality is a problem (and punctuality) but I will find it very costly without this workforce. Quality is a problem regardless of who does the job.

I honestly don't want to go back to the over-inflated quotes that I used to receive before I started using Zim guys. Work was done by Zim guys anyways with those prices. I am sure everyone knows what I am talking :cool:
