Only thing i can see is the Mibox has a 2Ghz processor but this one has a 1.5Ghz processor. Am not too sure if the benchmark in question was using the Mibox 3 or International [BestBuy] version. Hmm
Anyone else tried signing up for the device via 10213? I was told to query on there. 20th is too far away

Why are you trying to get one before they are ready, DSTV and Netflix don't work yet, wait two weeks and get the proper one.

It was the Mi BOX 3 https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/3407071
but xiaomi calls it just the Mi Box

Because i won't get my hands on one until after the 26th when my dad is back :erm: from his trip when he leaves soon. Was hoping to do some testing of my own in the meantime.

I was just coming to reply to the thread! So I managed to get my optical cable and connect it to my processor :
I went to Plex and loaded a multichannel file and nothing. No sound. I found an option in Plex up passthrough and went back ... Just static. I tried a few multichannel files and they all yielded the same result. Stereo perfect
Any idea?

20th September , even if someone got it, will they have AndroidTV 7.1.2 loaded? I sure hope they rollout the firmware in stages so it isn't slow 
to download.

I for one will definitely get one if they are available at R49 p/m x 24. Very affordable way to get my first ever android box. And I don't think I am ready to commit to Telkom for 12 months to get one for free.

Same here, if you migrate to the 8Mbps or 10Mbps UNLIMITEDhome , box comes at no extra cost over 2 year contract ^_^ . They said pending availability though

That what I thought I received my Telkom bill this month after signing up for the contract to receive the box free,
Telkom billed my for the full amount of the box for a once off payment.
They want me to pay the bill before they will resolve it and credit me.
What BS!!!! Telkom.

Something amiss here. Did you signup before 1st September? Read somewhere here only signups in September qualify.
Hopefully you get it sorted else you will have to sell it

I signed up on 30 August and the telkom agent said the box is free of charge when I took out the contract, When I logged a dispute today the agent once again confirmed the box is free. I have to wait 5 days for the dispute to be processed.
