Called telkom direct store call center. They told me there are 3 in stock at woodlands. Pitch up there, get told they havent received stock and that the consultants at the call center dont have access to their systems. Typical telkom move right there.

Went to the store in JHB Cbd and they know about the device but have no stock. Possibly only by Friday or next Monday will they have received some.

Cash or Contract is fine.

Went to Menly in Pretoria, they had stock but didn't want to sell it because it has a technical problem. They say they going to replace the units, should be available next week.

Analyzing from the above replies ,This is the conclusion we can come to, the boxes will actually go on sale from the end of next week, this is because the boxes are probably stuck on Android 6 instead of the 7 and some apps don't work or are not installed.

Sumen is correct.

The 'technical glitch' is the Android 6 which weren't supposed to be sold. The units now are Android 7 and probably delayed by a day or two to get them through distribution channel.

Im not sure why the presale suck? Telkom is doing the right thing here. The box firmware is not up to date as advertised. They are busy updating the firmware before releasing it. Atleast they didnt let the boxes go out and refuse to do anything about it.

Table view took my number and said it should be in by friday, latest monday. They will call me.
