I wonder how many people went to Telkom Direct Shops today and went home with nothing.

Nothing on their website is pushing that date.

It's not listed for sale there either.

Its listed in their new Catalogue that starts today.. get it in store..

i went in store and they not releasing LIT Box until next week..
 
How many companies has released faulty stuff? Samsung anyone? Atleast they dealing with a problem before it becomes the public problem
 
I have a R-Box 4K. It's also 2GB Ram and 8GB Rom. It's a quad core system running Android 5.1.1 (Can't be upgraded).

The problem is that it does launch DSTV Now and Showmax, but it doesn't play the media. Now some people say that it might be the Chipset. I don't know. Tried rooted and un-rooted.

That's the only reason why I want this device from Telkom because according to them DSTVNow and Showmax does work on it.

If it does work, then I'll just pass my R-Box on to my son.

Mall of Africa Midrand has stock but refuses to sell it to me cash saying only lte, adsl and fibre contracts are getting them now. The cash sales opens next week Tuesday. :mad:

The Mi-Box runs Android 6 and the manufacturers doesn't like updating the firmware.

You can run Android 7 on the Mibox. Mine is on 7 and works perfectly.

Aah okay.

Haven’t seen any formal marketing and only mentions of it on this thread.
 
@techead - even with recall and updating the firmware ?
