Alright folks, im moving back out onto my own again and thus a new provider is needed, openserve is line owners in my area so who should I choose as the ISP, I used to be with cool ideas, and they were great but I'm looking at Afrihost now as well? Would appreciate the feedback.

Hi there, could you advise me what router you guys supply? :) the cool ideas ones are crap also i see they now charge a R200 delivery fee, do you guys do the same ?

We supply the Huawei Ax3 router for free. It's yours to keep and not a "free to use" router.

We charge R249 for delivery. You can collect from our Walk in center in Sandton if you are closeto our HQ.

And if I only move in on the 1st of march can i get it all setup for the 1st of march so day I move in I can be up and running ?

If you place the order a couple of days before for use to delivery the router and you can schedule an appointment on the Openserve app or I can also schedule the order for you to be installed on the 1st.

Mind telling me why ? appreciate the feedback :)
Brilliant web portal and smartphone app and credit card payment, no shaping and VPN's and smart dns services actually work, Great Huawei https://ax3.afrihost.com/ router that's only R250 for delivery and not locked down in any way allowing me to change my Wifi ssid. Heck even band steering is usable on that router. I could go on and on mentioning Air mobile as well etc. etc.

I have sent you a pm :) is the router dual core or quad core ?

If you have any questions about Afrihost please let me know. Happy to advise. :)
Get yourself a "business" grade router? The free routers in general are just to gief your internet and will exclude more advanced things which are actually quite nice to have.

The AX3 is more than capable if you're just accessing the internet. Wireless works nicely. I have replaced mine though with a 4A gigabit to flash it with openwrt which set me back about R400. I use the AX3 as an access point now.

yea its not just accessing internet, I need it for gaming, downloads and uploading for work, it will be plugged via ethernet into my pc then the ipad, xbox, and laptop will connect to it wirelessly.

AX3 should still be fine, I have a few devices over ethernet on mine. The real reason I switched over was the lack of depth when it comes to the settings. That's what kills it for most who want to do things other than just changing the dns.
