Time to switch

Firefox is my primary browser. I switched from Maxthon (IE shell) some time ago.
I like the fact that I can customise the FFox browser to suit my personal needs, also through the use of the brilliant add-ons/extensions. Sites load faster, ad blockers work well, better security, cleaner interface, tabbed browsing etc.

Yes, very rarely I land on a site that doesn't render 100% and then I use my IE as backup. However, that is happening less and less.

How about Opera being the first to pass Acid 3 test? I haven't heard of any FF builds passing yet.

What did you guys mean by not being able to see when Opera is busy? I really don't know what you mean. There are a few different status bars you can use, the detailed one showing much more than FF does.

Beta 5 of FF3 is very nice though, everything is much cleaner.

IE FTW !!!

I dont like how firefox pulls the frames when it loads them.

IE FTW? You're browsing sites with frames? There are still sites out there that use frames?

Oh! I get it! You're still surfing in 1998! :D

Opera can tell if its busy. Add a status
bar. It's completley customisabe
I've been with Opera since V6.
The memory usage bug is ridicuolous in FF. Even thou it is supposedly fixed in Beta 3, it is still a memory hog.
Also where as FF has so many extension, Opera has these built in.
In addition both Opera & IE have support for extensions.
Personally Opera is the AIO solution for me, FF is just slightly better than IE.
Safari seems to be a good contender these days.
On that note Opera 9.5 beta rocks :)
Firefox maybe great, But Opera/Safari is better

I have to say I am a Firefox user, love the browser, great with extensions. You can suit it to YOUR needs. Best of all its cross platform

firefox's whole selling point is it's extensions...if you still prefer opera, it only means you haven't fully discovered the power of really cool extensions...

I won't be able to enjoy browsing without a bunch of my ff extensions...

Which do what specifically?

I know Opera has Widgets, but I've never really found the need for addition functionality over and above Opera's comprehensive feature list.

Hahaha dl the Afrikaans version, ek't nie geweet jy kry sulke woorde in Afrikaans nie, lekker.

Only draw back is google toolbar doesn't work in the beta version, but other wise very quick and sleek, I liaak it!

I'll wait till the finished version is released even though I have tried ff3

Opera is dated - read the title of the news post: TIME TO SWITCH.
Switch to Firefox. I use Firefox and am totally satisfied - by far the best browser out there.

That is what the IETab extention is for;)

Why is everyone is getting excited over whether one uses Opera or Firefox? It doesn't really matter because the fact remains that neither of those two are Internet Explorer. THAT is the best part of it all... :)
