Tips to Boost your eBucks

Hi Guys,

In order to get tier points one way is "Use your FNB Platinum Cheque or Credit Card to shop online or swipe internationally (min R 1000)". So I wanted to know what does FNB regard as "online shopping"? Is paying bills through easy pay counted? Or paying bills online?

keyword there is internationally...

I beg to differ. Keyword is "or"

You need to use credit card for payment online, whether it is local or international doesn't matter. My Telkom bill through Easypay and Vox payment makes up my R1000.

I see that uncapped ADSL is also free on RL5

anyone can provide info on this part: Uncapped accounts are billed monthly in advance.
You will be billed on the 26th day of the month for the next months allocation
.

So how does this work? Do they bill you and then refund you according to your RL ??

Anyone?

Guys what is the best way to get FNB to fix issues with Ebucks rewards levels?
A month later and 2 calls logged there has been no result.

Twitter? Hellopeter? FNB Helpdesk with someone who can actually make a difference?

Well, I asked it a few times at pick and pay and they refused. And to answer your question, I am at FNB aswell.

But why will you withdraw cash and pay fees for it (using your credit card), if you can use your debit card and withdraw cash for free

FNB = Checkers

Nedbank = Pick and Pay.

That's the confusion you seem to have.

Credit or debit card. Doesn't matter.

Keep in mind it renews the subscription automatically. If you drop down to a lower level, the money will be subtracted from your account when it subscribes for the next month.

This is what I hate about FNB's so-called Premier Banking service. It took them 48 hours to respond to my query:
Hi,

Please can you explain why I did not get eBucks reward points for the following:
Use your FNB Platinum Cheque or Credit Card to shop online or swipe internationally
Minimum spend is R1 000.

And

Be registered for inContact, update your contact details at least once in a 12-month period via Online Banking, allow FNB to communicate with you by giving them consent to market to you and choose to receive all your statements via email only

My eBucks reward level and earn is incorrect - please update.
with this:
Good day

Thank you for your correspondence.

Please be advised that your query has been sent to our eBucks department for assistance.

Kindly allow for a turnaround time of 48 to 72 working hours.

Please feel free to contact the help desk directly on 087 320 3200 or email [email protected]

Yes, e.g. the 1st of the month you are RL5 and now you want to subscribe like our friend Nimz here. So you sign up and you get your 100% free 4mbps or 6mbps account, zero rand billing.

On the 8th you drop down to RL4. On the 26th you get billed for the next month at 80% discount. (Note, I'm not sure of the exact discount percentages)

NB: Don't cancel if you drop a level as they warn against this. It may be a schlepp to reinstate your account or something. Rather downgrade if you want to be charged less.

Well, for the guys who can withdraw cash via their CC ... well done ... I cant. The cashiers refuses (that is my lessons so far)

When I tried to draw cash with my credit card at Checkers it was declined (by the machine, not the cashier). Worked fine with my cheque card.
