Tips to Boost your eBucks

You would put money into FNB's TFSA to earn more eBucks even if it means you'll experience far less growth than with other TFSA offerings out there?

I have no problem with their TFSA - it is one of the best, if not the best around. Exposure to Top 100 on JSE (much better than just Top 40 for long term investors), 0.46% annual cost, .11% broker fees (if invested on 1st of month).

I just want to know if it counts as an investment account for e-bucks.

Not the point
Nu-uh. It is.

New and optimised combined ETFs will always seem like good value because you can pick the best combination possible for the brochure. Going back five years doesn't help much either as great performance over the last year trickles all the way down to the five year period.

I already went for a similar product for my RA through etfSA RA. Here I was look for something more generalised.

Ok - FNB's top40 and midcap vs. DBXWD, STXIND etc. Odds are heavily in the favour of the latter outperforming the former.

For the record, I own the non-TFSA equivalent - Share Saver - and I own those other ETFs through EE's investment and TFSA.

Anything further on the eB changes?
Yes, you can now buy Nklanda dollars with your eBucks. eB10 = 1 Nkandla dollar which then equals ZAR0.03. You won't be able to afford a fire pool after that so a rubber kiddies pool will have to do :p

I chatted to my PW banker yesterday, as I wanted him to open a 5k overdraft on my account so that I can use 1k to get the minimum 20% usage for ebucks. He said that under the new Ebucks plans that won't be enough, and I would need a 20k minimum overdraft to qualify for the max amount of points.

I'm not 100% I trust what he said, or that he might have been speaking of somethign else, but I told him to rather hold off on the overdraft then until the official comms go out and I'll create one then.

One thing I know ... private vs platinum rules differ a lot. Private is a step up, but to earn is much more difficult

Question for you guys, does buying a ster kinekor ebuck voucher get you more ebucks?

Also what stores let you use your ebucks magnetic card to actually buy stuff?, no mcdonalds lets you use it anyway.

I don't see how it can as that is a purchase via the eBucks website.

The list is on the eBucks website, surely?

Not sure what you're asking about McDonalds...

Not seeing anything to suggest a change in eBucks rules for the time being.

Guys, I have the platinum account on a fee saver option and platinum credit card, should the credit card also be free? Does it count as a bundle or separate products? I'm on Rewards level 5 so I thought it takes it as a bundle

The changes on PC is looking really nice.

Overdraft is free now on the bundled option.
Unlimited cash withdrawals.
Unlimited cash deposits up to 20000.

R50,000 balance for service fee waiver on platinum? Wonder if this applies to existing fee saver clients or just new accounts

Have I got this right?

No more monthly O-draft fee of 50 odd bucks?
No charges for depositing cash at an ATM?

If so then this is quite a compelling argument for me to upgrade.

Seems to be the case, as per their pricing guide

Not many changes on PW.

Bundled fee up to R399, but overdraft fee is rebated when you don't exceed limit. (Used to be a part rebate)
Free deposits at FNB ATM up to 20k (New)

I also see that you'll earn 15% back in ebucks for local uber trips. Guess I'll be using uber a bit more now.
