Thanks. Downloading.
N7 not supported unfortunately.
They where trying to help android users that felt left out. Now we can also brag about a mapping app that is not working.
Don't forget to give your impressions! Also bought the Garmin/Navigon app now.
Wow... awesomely pathetic Tom Tom!
Difficult Choice?:wtf:
Proper offline navigation is the attraction for me when it comes to sourcing other navigation apps. Data costs scare me.
I am currently using Sygic, which I am lead to believe uses Tom Tom maps, so I see no need to spend money on this. Not sure what more it will offer?
Let us know what you think. I'm very tempted on this one, especially if it can do way points.
Google maps doesnt use that much data. Before maps were able to be cached, i used about 7Mb for a 30 min trip.
For the whole month of September I used 4 Mb total! Admittedly I only used my GPS 3 times that month. Still at 0.15cents per meg i paid R0.60c. As compared to paying R377 for an app??? To me it doesnt make sense.
I love Google Maps myself but it has its annoyances.
2 weeks we were heading down to St Lucia from JHB. Along the way my wife wanted to make a detour. So she punches a new address into maps and the wheels fell off. We were in a weak signal edge only area. Took maps about 5 minutes to reroute us. I had to pull over on the side of the road and wait. Not good.
Option paralysis. I'm flicking between the two (both apps work on all my devices) - cannot make up my mind.
