Hi guys!

Since Afrihost released their uncapped leader board I realized I download peanuts compared to those top guys. So I would like to set up a dedicated download pc.

I could make it a windows pc but Linux just seems more stable and thats what I want to go for. However I cant find an application that has a nice web interface and HTTP / FTP download capabilities (something like Bitcommet). I would like to be able to just chuck any large downloads on this pc and leave them to download whether it be a torrent or a normal download.

It would also be nice to have it all in one app but if someone has another approach I shall look into it.

Thanks a mil

wes

You can use jdownloader for http downloads, don't believe it does torrents. For that though you have a few choices as most of them have some sort of Web interface - my favorite is Deluge.

Do yourself a favour and move away from torrents and use news servers instead. You can fully automate series downloading with the combination of SickBeard & SABnzbd+. You can also automate/manage movie downloading to a big extent with CouchPotato.

ive come across kget. need to get ubuntu running first then ill give some feedback

Deluge works well. Can be used on a headless server either through a remote client or Web interface.
