touch screen monitors

I googled so i did my part1..now to part 2
Guys tell me is there a visual difference of a touchscreen monitor and a normal one.
Is there pros and cons to having a touch screen monitor for my pc instead of a normal one...lcd ones i am talking about.
I am sure my son will have a ball with this..

with touchscreen monitors you have
1) more glare/reflections
2) less brightness

i.e. a 400cd/m2 screen may appear like a 250cd/m2 screen.

i'm lucky to have two bare touchscreens from different manufacturers on my desk right now (7") and i can hold them up to a normal lcd and visually see the difference. i've also been using a touchscreen monitor in my car for about two years so pretty much understand the downsides.
