Its been tested by the cape town call centre using LTS and they found that it had big interference but telkom in pmb claim my lines perfect when its not

Then a fault must be logged and it must be fixed. Get a reference number.

i do have one on my phone but they keep canceling it saying its fixed :P

the dilema is i'll get charged next time i call technician so have to find the problem myself

but using the weather timing it seems the problem doesnt start in my street cause i started having problems just before weather got here

true but to me it seems like the weather just amplifies the problems cause it happens during the clear days just its minor so dont really mention it

and murphies law telkom comes on the most best clearest day ever and it doesnt emit the problem as bad :P

think i should try a neighbour to to get another reference that another persons getting affected?

oh and thanks for everyone for trying to help me find what the problem is

just went into telkom shop and the line was checked and they said it was terrible and the technicians are looking into it and saw the LTS check on the pc too so hopefully this problem ceases to be and soon :)

Explain the symptons to the tech (actual one coming out doing the work) when he calls you. I've had a similar problem before when the wind started blowing, ended up being a cable chaffed by tree branches.

thats quite interesting we got few trees by the cables

thanks for info going outside to see

yep we do have a tree just below a cable coming to our house

It took them two days to find the problem after they replaced all the jumpers in the exchange & street boxes etc. Eventually got a new drop wire from the pole to the house as well becasue that was corroded as well.

done same too they replaced exchange and street boxes

how did you get them to make a new drop wire? techies in pmb just look at cable then move along they dont even touch or test it

actually finally got sms saying my lines being checked by technical repair division :P so hope this means its being fixed now

and some advice i found i get more service going into a telkom outlet than calling them direct and always get them to email the head telkom guy with the problem it seems to work

think ive had my dsl for 3 years now with this problem how long did you have to wait till the problem got fixed?

oh ok i got the telkom store to email the main boss at telkom in Jhb yesterday thats how i got sms. They seem to work fast when you connect to a person high up :P

I'm glad my telkom store is less clueless than telkom itself lol

I do have main bosses number but forgot about it lol
