Uncapped ADSL from Telkom: 'Not enough demand'

Hope would they know if they've never offered it? Typical Telkom logic.

If you give a broke, starving person 9 loaves of bread for the month, he's obviously not going to finish it before the end of the month, but will try to make it last for the month.

Idiots, survey based on current capped usage. Ask anyone on uncapped how their usage changed...

Dr Brian Armstrong. You are the weakest link!

We always criticise guavamint for placing people in jobs where they have nfi. After reading the where we effed up with iburst and this story though I get the impression that big business also puts people in jobs where they have nfi.

this is the exact type of logic and reasoning that is slowly killing telscum .... they are so out of touch with their customers that they might as well start providing tin cans with strings as anything more would be overkill in their eyes :)

lol that's also what I was thinking. They need cap to function so they're not going to use all their cap. It's the same concept with the more you earn, the more you spend.

I've got a new business model for Telkom:
They should sell whatever it is they're smoking :wtf:

Telkom is so out of touch with their customers they would not know until three years later if we all got up and quietly sneaked out of the country.

How unbelievably stupid. But then that's why other ISPs survive. If Telkom offered great service and products on their own, the other ISPs would die.

The high cost of an IPC has long been a contentious issue among ISPs, and it may well be that this cost can be prohibitive in Telkom’s investigation into the feasibility of an uncapped ADSL solution

This made me LOL. Telkom shooting itself in the foot. They can't compete, because they don't have the technical skills to make IPC work for them. They're content on being just another SAIX reseller.

Complete lack of innovation, motivation, and brain cells.

+1.

By that same argument they SHOULD launch an uncapped solution because an uncapped account would be much more expensive so they would be raking in profits on 97% of their user base

My heart almost skipped a beat when I saw the picture

:( i pray to God they regret this decision...

I bet if we asked here how many want uncapped from TK, the results will exceed that supposed 3% :wtf:

Armstrong did however point out that they have products like ‘Usage Based Realms’ which are aimed and the business market, and which provides totally uncapped and un-contended bandwidth.

How much is this, were can I get more information.
