Uncapped ADSL from Telkom: 'Not enough demand'

I think it is because everyone interested in uncapped has already gotten off the Telkom ship, so surveying their current clients only confirms that yes, you are only reading emails and surfing news sites.

Ok but really, who would support telkom anyway in ANYTHING that has ANY other option? I would be happy to use a mweb uncapped even if telkom provides a slightly better service, i`m not giving them a single cent that i dont have to. They have screwed us over for 10 years, why support them now.

Either his IQ is very low, or he is just spewing usual PR nonsense to fool you and I :o

Telkom u are useless got a client that use's a 9 gig account every week , but thank goodness that is over R1195 Saix vs R539.... Mweb

I'm one of the majority of broadband users in this country that do not exceed their fixed cap. Not everybody has the need for uncapped. I have both ADSL and 3G and I always remain within my limits without restricting my usage.

I agree with Telkoms approach to leave uncapped to those businesses that do it well.

What a clever business decision. It's good to know that Telkom is on the up and up..

And everybody thought Telkom would really do uncapped with that survey a few weeks ago.

Telkom won't change. The only way Telkom to become usefull is to close it down. Give the infrastructure to some other INDEPENDENT ISPs that actually wants customers to use their services.

I had such an eye opening conversation with a Telkom employee the other day.
Like, where did all the money from the Vodacom sale go, why products are never launched and or expensive, management egos, and how decisions to lay fibre in a informal settlement gets the stamp of approval...

All in all, I don't think we should expect anything from Telkom, ever.
Uncapped from Telkom will only ever be a business product like the usage based realms, but us consumers will never see such products.

They should go do research on how much data Mweb uncapped users are using. Or Mweb should publish their usage stats here on mybroadband to rub it in their face?

We are not saying they should banish their current GB model but offer this as another product, not difficult to do....:( bastids

Once again Telkom proves that they are still smoking their socks. That or they have an ostrich approach toward innovation and product development.

Damn, we really need a decent second network in the country :(

Surely most sensible people would switch to a cheaper provider for their extra gigs once their 9gigs from telkom are used up? So how how on earth does telkom know that only 3% of people use more than 9 gigs? What they should have actually said is that only 3% of people are lazy/ silly enough to buy top-ups from us instead of getting them cheaper elsewhere.

lol and nothing will ever change. If we want change we will need someone in this country with some balls to do something about it.
