Nope. Something is fundamentally broken in the Unreal Engine and don't hifirush me. lol.

What we really need is another decent engine like back then when UE actually had to work for its stage time and not just be in every game because it can.

Probably why most developers are trying to move over to UE5 and why there has been so many delays lately.

UE5 is a pretty big changeover from UE4 and a lot of its systems aren't that stable yet. BUT its such a big upgrade that AAA studios don't want to risk working in 4 anymore.

Hope this is cool. They lost me at MK4.
Not sure how they went from the masterpiece that was MKT to MK4 - guess it was the beginning of the “everything must be 3D” era

MK4 was a travesty, but most fighting games struggled to make a good transition from 2D to 3D, and from primarily arcade to home consoles. I missed out on a lot of MK games as I didn't have an an Xbox / PS console during those early 3D fighting game years. I've played most of the MK games since MK vs DC and they've mostly been descent.

I might try MK11 (got it as part of PS plus)

Not sure my adult brain is able to learn all the moves though :D

Edit: oh I think we might get a demo:

Final Fantasy 16 is very close and seriously impressive, but you’ll be playing it even sooner than you think. Square Enix has confirmed that it’s plotting a full-length demo prior to release, which will last a couple of hours and focus on Clive in his youth. It’s the same segment of the game we played during a recent preview event, and you can read more about that through here.

The era and return to the ancient Middle East is what will make Mirage one of my favourites in the series I think. I hope. Looks amazing.
