Upcoming Games

Yeah but at least some guys who worked on the original game are working on this so they will hopefully put aspyr on the right track.

They better not forget to do the same with kotor2 if this is a success.
KOTOR2 is, based purely on memory/nostalgia, pretty much the best game I have played

Dying Light 2 delayed again, this time to Feb 2022

Techland has delayed Dying Light 2 from 7th December to 4th February 2022.

Techland boss Pawel Marchewka said its parkour-infused open-world zombie sequel is complete and in playtesting, but needs more time for polish and optimisation.

Cant wait to play this again

I like this, and are happy that Rockstar is doing more than a mere remaster, but I am not happy that the originals will be purged.
The originals will always be available though.

Anyway, looks like the this remaster is +-R1000 so that's a nope from me. For now...

By non-commercial means, yes. The old product is being removed, and a new product is introduced. Though I already own the games, and hence will remain available within where I have acquired it, the consumer protectorate within me don't like it due to them compromising the modding assets and content which was made available by third-parties. Not to mention that the new game may not work on older systems (or OSes). Rockstar don't care about third-parties, we know that. Yes, some mods will be updated, pending on the compatibilities, and new mods will be made.

This is happening all over the publishing verse now. Old content is kicked to the curb and rebooted as new content. Cool, I like and hate it because it is compatible with newer systems, at older systems' expense, but they also want you to buy the new product without rewarding consumer loyalty. Game publishers/developers all now reward loyalty within gaming as a service where activity is rewarded through online mechanics where latecomers need to acquire said reward through monetisation mechanics. You don’t buy products any more, /cough use licenses, you pay to use a service and I don't like where it is going.

Anyway. I will probably acquire the Trilogy when it is appropriately discounted.

A Red Dead Redemption remaster is apparently also in the works. I wonder if the game will finally come to pc...
