Upcoming Games

Also from Ubisoft: Far Cry Primal 2 I mean Pandora

This looks amazing as well. Said it before that ubi creates incredible, immersive worlds and this looks to be no different.

And yup I got Far Cry Primal vibes from this as well. Not a bad thing because Primal is awesome.

Wow it looks amazing. Definite buy from me.

I wonder how many worlds there are and how big. Huge maps with multiple towns/cities/outposts/collectables like every other ubi game? Hope so.

Would be pretty disappointing if the worlds you visit are small, linear and mission specific.
It's the same studio that made The Division (as opposed to AC), so not sure what that means, given I've never played The Division. :p

But yeah, I'll probably give it a shot either way. KOTOR fans have been waiting forever for another Star Wars RPG.

Ubisoft Connect sub has provided me with some solid value so no reason not to try.

Me neither. But they're part of ubisoft and the game looks very much like any other ubisoft game.

Currently still busy with Watch Dogs Legion and the combat and stealth etc are pretty much identical. Outlaws gonna be great I think.

AC: Mirage also looks really fun. Some interesting new features.

Yup said from the start Mirage looks like one of the best ACs ever made. Currently my top 2 are Syndicate and Unity but Mirage could maybe beat them both. Will see.

Just love the era and Middle Eastern setting. Love the middle eastern soundtrack as well. Looks and sounds amazing.

Ubisoft on a roll. So many incredible looking games. Just don't know where I'm gonna get the time to play them all though. Still haven't started Odyssey or Valhalla :(

I was previously quite amped for Mirage but I’m substantially less so since the Ubisoft show. Personally I thought it looked really mediocre. Fortunately the studio behind Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla is not developing Mirage, so I’m still hoping for another epic open world game.

Ubisoft Quebec, which made Odyssey, is working on AC: Codename Red (set in Japan). Hoping for an epic like Odyssey and Valhalla, myself.

Ubisoft Bordeaux, which is making Mirage, worked on the Valhalla DLC Wrath of the Druids, which was awesome.

We already have Ghost of Tsushima though, and its upcoming sequel. Seems an odd choice for Ubi to go toe to toe with that, when it will just look inferior by comparison. I’d still be stoked though. These open world games are my best.

Maybe they’re afraid that Ottoman/Roman/Carthage/Persia/etc settings would be too similar to what we had in Odyssey.

It's about time that the main AC series goes to Asia. And it sucks that people will compare it to GoT simply because both are set in Japan.

There's no doubt in my mind that AC Japan will look absolutely spectacular and be yet another incredible game in the series and on its own.

Mirage looks amazing. Don't know how anyone can say it looks mediocre lol.

There is Chronicles: China but

Its in the Pipeline.

- Supernatural, X-Men teleporting combat.
- Strange mix of overpowered kill moves and extended sequence of running away from guards.
- Not even a $60 game. By Ubi standards, that makes me sus.
- Visuals not consistently great imo

Obviously I hope reviews are good. But it’s certainly not something I’ll blindly preorder like I would with the previous open world games.

To each their own I guess. Everything I've seen looks amazing. Looks like the perfect AC imo.

You should stop preordering games, period. It's not healthy :p

I don’t generally preorder, but Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are amongst my fave games ever. I’ll preorder whatever comes next from that Ubi studio for sure.

Jedi Survivor was a safe preorder. Tears of the Kingdom too. There are games that can be preordered.

As a fan of Shadow Tactics and Desperados III I'm most looking forward to Shadow Gambit next. It's "supernatural" and "magic" and yada yada yada but I couldn't give a crap because I love these sort of tactical games.

For the most part I wait a few months or more than a year before I buy. Give them time to sort out all the major bugs, release dlcs etc, but most importantly: drop the price.

Last game I preordered was GTAV.

Avatar & Star Wars has my attention. AVATAR especially. Just beautiful.

If I never play another AC game it will be too soon.

Had I done that with Tears of the Kingdom the game would be astronomically less enjoyable. Glitches for duplicating items and weapons eliminate the only poor part of the game, namely the grind for upgrades and replacing high level weapons that lose durability, which Nintendo seems committed to fixing. Already the best glitches are gone and soon the next round of them will be too.

It can go any way. Better to just buy the games you have a high degree of confidence will be your thing. And if there are nice preorder perks, then just grab them. Or if you want to preload and play from the moment it releases.

Edit: GTA Online is another example. Started out strong, easy money, huge SA Gamer community. Then declined precipitously once it started on the hardcore grind route and all the vehicle dupes had been patched out.

Have it but at the current rate will only get to play it next year.

The only saving grace, its a physical copy ;)
