Upcoming Games

We already have Ghost of Tsushima though, and its upcoming sequel. Seems an odd choice for Ubi to go toe to toe with that, when it will just look inferior by comparison. I’d still be stoked though. These open world games are my best.

Maybe they’re afraid that Ottoman/Roman/Carthage/Persia/etc settings would be too similar to what we had in Odyssey.
Eh, they fall in entirely different categories for me, even if their settings could superficially be the same. I probably wouldn't play them back to back but we don't really know anything about GoT 2, so I'd say that's pretty far off.

There's a massive list of ancient civilizations they could work through - Mayan or Aztec being another obvious candidate.

BF 2042 was R250 so I tried it, only to get booted from a SA server for driving around in a jeep and shooting people.
For the rest it's ok, feels like a re-skin of BF4
I have never been booted from a 2042 server in ZA. DICE has really done a ton of work on the game from launch, I just hope they learn from this and the next game will start out great from day 1.
They have this stpid habit of completely forgetting what went wrong in the previous game and have to start fixing everything, the bring along a lot of the mistakes from the previous game that have fixed in that game, hopefully with the new management it wont be that way.

Just happened once, duno why though. Not near their base camp and I was getting killed enough.
Some of these guys are so good that I don't think they can do anything but headshots

Has there ever been a modern, or futuristic, AC?

Only if you count the wretched modern-day parts of nearly all the AC games (Desmond etc.)
yeah, I suppose I dont know how far in the future that is, I've only played Origins

Oh, can't quite remember if Origins did it, but most of the AC games have the idea that the main character's actions are being re-lived through the animus by someone in the present day, a kind of virtual reality type device that allows you to view your Ancestors based on your genetic code.

You could play short stretches as this character (it changed a few times, but not very much fun) and it seemed to be a normal modern-day world.
